  1. If you could manage BART, remember their are elevators at the stations you could get a ride from there, Just a thought.😀😀😀 Good luck at whatever you decide. Tom😀
  2. I always wear one on my wrist. It’s always with me & if I need to tag it on something it’s easy. The biggest thing for me is I’ll never leave it behind by mistake in my stateroom. I’m aware other people have different views, this happens to be my preference. Tom😀
  3. Are you aware that we have 2 terminals, pier 27 & Pier 35? Pier 35 is our old cruise terminal & can actually take 2 smaller ships at one time. Larger ships have to use pier 27. Tom
  4. That’s $136. I never have paid that munch for UBER or LYFT. Remember with the shuttle you could be waiting awhile why they wait for other people. I’ve heard too many stories as to how long people waited on the shuttle. I’ve 35+ cruises with Princess & I don’t remember the last time I used a Princess Shuttle. Tom😀
  5. How does the Medallion fit inside? Tom😀
  6. PSD = Passenger Service Desk. Tom😀
  7. There is no way to know, in my experience, as to how many nights for the Chef’s table until you get on the ship. You can call the Dine Line from any phone around the ship or ask the PSD to call them for you. Tom😀
  8. You’re right, the piers were not designed for the large ships we now have. That’s why pier 27 is needed. Tom😀
  9. I’ve had no Luggage problems on the F line from my personal experience, plus I’ve leaved here since 1967. People will often offer you their seat. Just my opinion. Tom😀
  10. I’m on a 7 day cruise & going solo & I would have to pay a minimum of $440 to bid for a Mini Suite. Of course I’m not interested. If it was a longer cruise perhaps I might consider it. I have no options as to where my stateroom would be but I could use a FCC towards the cost. Tom😀
  11. I would recommend either UBER or LYFT which I what I use when going to & from the Airport. The shuttles like Super Shuttle have mostly gone away & for me were more expensive. I like going straight to where I’m going. Once from San Pedro I chose a cheaper option where they made several stops before arriving at the airport. Never again. Once I’m at the baggage claim I check both Uber & Lyft for prices. They pick you up across in the parking garage & there are different number zones so you just pick a zone number. Hope that this helps. Tom😀
  12. I’ve heard that people had their bid excepted & immediately looked at other staterooms in the same category & Princess allowed them to change. Has anyone had this experience? Tom😀
  13. The Elite Lounge is only for Elite passenger's & they will check your status. Suite & Elite board first followed by everyone else. Tom😀
  14. I suggest that you might ask that question on the “Chat” option. From reading many posts, & my experience, they never checked my time so I would just show up. Tom😀
  15. Here’s what I found on Facebook where I only need only plug. It has all of the different cables that I need. The wide cable pulls out so you can reach things easier. You’ll see 2 different USB sockets. Since all of the cables fit into the side it’s very compact. I still bring some extra cables just in case. Tom😀
  16. If you can use our MUNI use the F line that stops right at Pier 27. It also stops at pier 35. Tom😀
  17. Yes the F line Street Car is an excellent idea. Get off at the Jazz Cafe, pier 23. Remember that you need exact change to ride on our MUNI system. Tom😀
  18. Since I’ve traveled solo I wanted to sit with others at the same table each night & they only once did they agree to let me have the same table each night. My table was called “Papas Table” & many people wanted to sit there. Was your table with other people or by yourself? For me cruising is meeting other people each night. I’ve made some long time friends at dinner & I could eat at by myself at home. . My experience since the Pandemic is much different than before. I was on an Alaskan cruise last years on Carnival & the 1st night at dinner I said that I would leave if they didn’t have a share table & that changed everything. Tom😀
  19. I’ll be on the Royal next month & on my cruise last cruise on the Royal in November/December I never sat at the same table twice so I guess I’ll have to wait until I’m onboard to see what happens. I’ll be in the Concerto so does anyone have any recommendations for the wait staff? Tom😀
  20. My experience lately was that it was extremely difficult to get anyone to assign you the same table/wait staff every night, especially if your traveling solo. What have people done that has worked on Princess? Tom😀
  21. Are you & others aware that, if asked, your room steward can turn it off? Tom😀
  22. Thanks! Since it’s a port stop, I’m meeting a cousin there. Where can I meet them? Tom😀
  23. The Majestic is a much larger ship in size & pier 35 was not built/designed for ships of that size. Be aware that Princess does not control where their ships dock in any port. I’m guessing that their are many cruises where the pier where they dock while on a cruise is not the most ideal & I wonder if people would not book a cruise based on which piers they arrive at. FYI….Pier 35 was the cruise terminal for many years. I’ve had many cruises from pier 35, they can hold 2 cruise ships & I only had one cruise that was disaster & that was last year on Carnival to Alaska. Tom😀
