  1. I just cancelled a shore excursion that I paid for with my credit card and rebooked it immediately at the sale price. It did not let me use my credit card to rebook but only gave me the option to “use my credit” (I do not have any OBC.) Does this mean that the difference between the regular and sale price will be applied to the credit card that I used to make the original reservation? Is it done this way because I rebooked immediately?
  2. I purchased excursions using my credit card months ago and some are now on sale. If I cancel and rebook, will the refund be applied to this credit card? It appears on my app that it no longer displays the qty of tickets remaining for each excursion unless there are 2 or less available or is waitlisted. Has anyone had an experience where an excursion is sold out even when it doesn’t show any limitations in quantity?
  3. You should not have to upgrade. I have the original Premier package and although the app lists MedallionNet WiFi and 2 casual meals, when I log onto their website using my confirmation #, and look under “package”, it displays all my perks correctly, including MedallianNet Max Wi-Fi and unlimited casual meals.
  4. I found app had incorrect info regarding my Premier package but my Cruise Personalizer had everything correct.
  5. I meant unlimited casual meals (not 2).
  6. Thank you t&atravel, I just checked my cruise personalizer and it says wifi max and 2 unlimited casual meals.
  7. The app also says 2 casual meals when it is unlimited casual meals
  8. Mine still says wifi net under my premium package. When will Princess get their act together, it shouldn’t be this hard.
  9. I purchased the Premier package before the new enhanced version. I am assuming that since Princess released the update on Aug. 7th with the upgraded wifimax being available on plus and premier packages, it will be available to me. The way I am reading this, is the “original premium” plan will get the wifi upgrade with 4 devices per passenger and the “enhanced version” will cover unlimited devices.
  10. My app says 2 casual meals so mistake is also on US app. I printed the description of inclusions in their Premier package before enhanced was available and it says unlimited casual meals. I plan to take a copy on my cruise in case there are any issues. I am not sure it will make any difference since the new enhanced premier package includes unlimited casual meals which will only make it more crowded and more difficult to be able to eat there. Even before this upgrade, passengers complained they had to get to these restaurants before it opened or the wait was very long.
  11. On Aug. 7th, Princess announced Medallion net max wifi which will be included in the plus and premier packages, (both new and existing). In the announcement today, Princess announced that the enhanced Premier package will include unlimited medallion net max Wifi. I am assuming that since I have the original Premier package, I will be upgraded to the medallion net max wifi for 4 devices instead of unlimited devices in the new enhanced max wifi package and I will be able to order up to 15 alcoholic drinks per day instead of unlimited alcoholic drinks under the enhanced package. I do not plan on upgrading as the original premier plan more than meets my needs. I am glad I have prebooked 2 specialty restaurants (at no charge), as I agree with others that it may become more difficult to book reservations in these restaurants, especially if they don’t allow you to book until onboard. I am also concerned that the casual restaurants will be a lot more crowded. I hope with more people having the max wifi package it won’t slow everything down to the wifi speed before the enhancements. This is my first Princess cruise (previously sailing only on Celebrity) and I feel as though I need a scorecard to keep up with all their changes.
  12. Thank you. My only concern was that we will need a larger vehicle. I will take my chances and wait until we arrive.
  13. Since we need a van or SUV, is it a good idea to rent from uber XL in advance from the airport in Fort Lauderdale to Riverview Hotel and from the Riverview Hotel to the cruise port? Is this a reliable way to reserve so we will be assured transportation both ways?
  14. I purchased 2 key chain medallion holders on Amazon, one is leather with a snap, the other is silicon with the medallion being inserted within the flexible silicon border. We didn’t want to wear our medallions but wanted to insert them into small holders to decrease our chance of losing them while in my husband’s pocket and my small handbag. The Amazon seller is CruiseOn, so I hope these do the trick.
  15. I am weighing my options. We are staying at the Riverside Hotel and need a ride from Fort Lauderdale airport to hotel. We then need a ride from the hotel to port. Unfortunately, we have too much luggage for a car and will need a van. Would appreciate any suggestions. I am going to call the hotel and see if they have any suggestions.
  16. I am planning to pick up a rental car at Budget, Fort Lauderdale airport and return it to the Budget location at the cruise port. i have been reading terrible reviews and am wondering if anyone has had recent experience with with pick up or drop off at either location?
  17. I will be in St. Martin on a Sunday in February. There will be two large ships in port and I am wondering if shops will be open on both the French and Dutch side. I seem to be getting conflicting information.
  18. Mrs. Goose, I have experience with both of your scenarios. When it indicated a charge of $78.00 on the 1st screen and still says we owed $75.00 when we clicked on “reserve”, we were charged (we cancelled and they credited our charge card within a few days.). When it showed a charge or $78.00 on the 1st screen, and we hit “reserve”, the next screen showed a charge of $78.00 but said we owed $0. It again asked for our credit card info which we gave but it did not charge us, which leads me to believe that as long as it says you owe $0, you are good to go. By the way, we made the reservations many months before final payment is due.
  19. Is the correct current size of Princess plastic luggage holders 6 1/2” x 3 1/2”? I want to make sure before I order.
  20. About a month ago, the price on an excursion we booked decreased. We cancelled the original reservation and rebooked at the lower price. Two days later, a credit showed up on our credit card for one of us and about 2 to 3 days later, the 2nd credit was applied. Makes no sense why the credit for both didn’t show up at the same time since it was 1 reservation and one credit card. Princess sure doesn’t make it easy.
  21. I had the same problem as you are having. The first time I made the reservation, I got charged. I cancelled and tried again about a week later and although it asked for my credit card number which I gave, it showed a zero balance which made me more comfortable and all went through without a charge. When I tried to make the second reservation, it did not allow me to do it without charging my credit card. I called customer service and the rep escalated the issue to the appropriate dept. and told me to wait a week and it would rectified. At the end of the week, I called customer service again and the rep. was able to make the 2nd reservation and did not ask for my credit card number. I was lucky I reached a knowledgeable customer service rep. the first time I called.
  22. Thanks again everyone. I am more comfortable that we changed our flight to 12PM (will now be able to utilize EZCheck), and take a taxi to the airport since luggage is no longer an issue. Seems like the most stress free way to end our vacation.
