  1. That looked perfect, but apparently, they are no longer operating. https://falklandshelicopterservices.com/
  2. We are on the Quest in February visit to Falklands and are considering the Seal Bay wildlife encounter and would like others experiences. The problem is my wife had major back surgery in May. She has recovered very well and is able to walk six miles at a time. How rough is the off road ride? She is game to try but doesn't want to be foolish. Would love other's experiences. Of course the decision will be up to her. Thank you.
  3. All things are yellow to the jaundiced eyr. The fact is, that looking at reports in other places on the web, a lot of people are very pleased with their cruises on Seabourn.
  4. Gordon Ramsey... unlikely. A huge wase of money. Do we really want crew members being called donkeys by an out-of-control egomaniac?
  5. I will try to be as polite as possible. I have sailed many times, beginning with the glorious SS France continuing through other lines including quite a few cruises on Seabourn. By far the worst cruising experience of my life was on the SS Cloud to Antarctica last year. There was very little that was luxury other than ample amounts of champagne. The passengers came across as very entitled and not very friendly. The cruise was disorganized with frequent contradictory announcements. The expedition staff was having a lot of fun...with each other. The food was ok but didn't surpass anything on Seabourn. Worst of all they had strict COVID protocols which were not enforced. Vaccination proof required to board, but if you didn't have proof they tested you. A lot of good that does if you were exposed on your travels to the cruise. Although my wife and I were vaccinated we got COVID on the ship and were quarantined. The only good news was that we received a full refund for the days of quarrantine. Those days were worth every penny we paid for them. To sum it up I do not agree with you.
  6. Not a typo, just a faulty memory. 😀The honeymoon in 2006 was on the Legend. Also, a lovely ship. The Quest was in 2011 and 2018.
  7. Yes she is. We had our honeymoon cruise on her 17 years ago.
  8. We are also booked on that segment, and I'm not sure it was ever designated as an Expedition cruise although there is definitely an expedition team on the cruise.
  9. According to CBP there is Global Entry at Canadian pre-clearance facilities.
  10. I am booked on the Quest in January sailing from Chile to Antarctica.
  11. Does anyone know whether Seabourn books all cabins on Antarctica cruises? If they are limited any guess as to the number of suites booked?
  12. U.S. Customs and Border Protection has a pre-clearance facility in Montreal, so you will clear U.S. Customs in Montreal.
  13. Based on a cruise on the Silver Cloud last year you pretty well captured it.
  14. Our experience on the Silver Cloud in Antarctica last year was beyond disappointing... it was terrible in almost every respect. Never again
  15. I am not a medical professional, but I believe COVID is transmitted in the air not on surfaces.
  16. To quote Oscar Wilde: "A cynic knows the price of everything and the value of nothing."
  17. I bet if you think hard you can guess University and graduation year!
  18. Seabourn should vet (pun intended) these service dogs or emotional support animals by requiring a doctor's statement and a certificate that the animal has been properly trained. If the owner doesn't like it they can sue under Bahamian law.
