  1. We had issues with our waiter and wine waiter on our recent cruise. We let it go on day one but it was the same on day 2. We complained to Guest Services on day 3 and the maitre'd phoned us. We explained the issues and at dinner that night our wine waiter apologised and the head waiter for our area checked that everything was fine for the rest of the voyage. The other people on our table thanked me as they had the same issues. There was no bad atmosphere that we noticed. Always complain, don't let it ruin your holiday.

  2. The pre voyage documentation for our recent cruise said we would have 4 formal nights so I took 4 outfits. Once we were on board we found that there would only be 3. If numbers can be reduced I am sure they can also be increased once on board so take outfits you would be happy wearing more than once. Having said that, I only notice how people look on the night and not whether they have worn the outfit before or not.

  3. We were thinking of getting a wine package but when we checked the prices of the wines included in the Captains collection it didn't seem that much of a bargain. We found each of the wines on the wine list and it was more expensive to purchase the package than buy the wines individually. It is possible that the wine list was not up to date, in which case the package might be worth buying.

  4. On formal nights there are a few areas of the ship where passengers who don't want to dress up, for whatever reason, are welcome. Instead of getting upset about people who don't dress up just avoid those areas if the dress code is so important.

Cunard have made it possible for everyone to have somewhere they will be comfortable so why tell others that Cunard is not for them? Everyone is welcome.

Incidentally, I love dressing up but would encourage anyone to try Cunard, so long as they were aware of the restrictions.

  5. Our M&G in May was at 10.00pm in the Commodore Club under the picture on the starboard side on the first evening. Everyone had finished dinner and there was a small, but sociable meet up. We all left when we were tired.
