I have thoroughly enjoyed your review and loved the photos. Thank you for taking the time to do this.

The show is on twice a night. The second performance is at 10.30.

Merry Maid, they are great.
-
Sorry Merry Maid, but when I tried to see your picture it came up as private, so I couldn't see it.

We always pack way too much, but we didn't need to use the drawers under the bed for a 2 week med cruise.

We were able to watch live F1 in our cabin this summer. It was not on BBC but I can't remember which channel it was on.
-
This applied to our cruise in August, but there were plenty of people smoking on their balconies. I could see them and smell them. I think the no smoking on balconies rule is really unenforcable.

Did you pay full fare or saver fare? Saver fares do not get to choose dinner sittings.

We have turned up when we wanted, left when we wanted, and been sociable with everyone when all together. We have also had table companions who turned up for the first night and were never seen again.

I agree, plan for two. They may also change the days of the formal nights once you are on board. Last year only one of our four was on the night in the voyage personaliser.

We were on QV earlier this year and I watched the Hungarian Grand Prix while I unpacked in our room. I believe it was on Sport24.

Sounds as if you would enjoy Cunard

If you like to know that you have prepaid some of your onboard spend you could.

Last time we travelled PG we had complimentary mineral water. Do we still get this?

We had a gentleman in morning suit and top hat at the Ascot ball on QV earlier this month.

What a charming post. It has really made me smile.

I actually complained about people smoking on their balconies on QV. I was told to call the pursers desk when I smelled smoke. I didn't do this, as when I called about a different issue they took so long to answer the phone I reckoned the culprit would have finished smoking before the phone would have been answered.

One of our table companions ordered cider and didn't have to wait too long for it.

Menus
in Cunard Line
Although none of our menus had the exactly the same entrees, there was always fish, chicken and beef. There were a couple of vegetarian options available. I suspect that the last formal night with the parade of the chefs would be very similar.
I am lending all of my cruise bits and pieces to a friend, but when I get everything back I can do some more comparisons.
By the way, did you try the wildebeest?

Menus

Having checked the menus from Artemis and my own, I can say that the answer to my original question about the menus is - no, they are not the same.

Artemis, do you remember the dates for the menus?

Menus

Does anyone know if each ship has the same menu on the same day? I only ask as I was reading a blog of a voyage at the same time as ours, but on a different ship, and their food choices seemed very similar to ours.
If anyone was on QM2 or QE from 27 July until 10 August and still has their menu, perhaps we could choose a date and compare menus. I was on QV for the dates given.

We got off the Queen Victoria yesterday and 2 tables near us started with a selection of melon every evening,

Scrapnana, will you be asking anyone to continue posting here once you leave the ship? It would be lovely to follow the WC for the full voyage.
