  1. I am looking to find more information on this excursion.  We have it booked for August but I really don't know what to expect and if it is really worth it.  Would really like to read some comments for those who have done it.  is it worth it? why this over just staying on ship.  Anyone have photos and/or video taken?  For some reason I am just having a hard time finding this type of information.  THANKS.

  2. Can anyone who has done one of these in the past few years share their thoughts, good and bad?  We are looking to do one next summer.  Most of what I read is from years ago so looking for more up to date information.  How was transportation? Hotels? How was luggage handled, etc.

    Thanks

  3. Two very quick questions (I hope)

1st question: Entered all the info for our upcoming cruise into the SetSail Pass. When complete it says to remember to brink original travel documents to the port.  Where do I find these? I don't see them via my planner or a link on the app.

2nd question - we have "The Key" for this cruise.  Both my husband and our SetSail Pass show up in the App with the key icon but mine also says  "Expedited Arrival", his does not.  What does this mean since with Key we get priority boarding anyway and why would his not say this?

    Thanks so much!

  4. Question for anyone who has sailed Allure and had their itinerary changed to Puerto Rico (because of the engine issue ) with the super early port hours was it apparent the shops and the forts adjust their business hours to accommodate the short port hours or did they operate as normal?

Our itinerary change for November was just announced and we will be in PR from 7:00 - 1:00 instead of St. Kitts.  While I love PR as a port of call, unless the hours are adjusted by the businesses that leaves very little time.  I know if I was a shop owner I would adjust my hours for a 6000 passenger ship.  What did you experience?

  5. A member of our FB cruise group for our Nov 10th cruise called RC today and was told that any cruise having changes has been notified either via the travel agent that booked them or individually  if you did it yourself. Only cruises through Oct 2019 so far are having this change made as of today.

While I understand everyone's disappointment in the change, it is in writing when you book that RC can change a cruise itinerary at any time for any reason and when you book and make the deposit you are agreeing to this.

If my “calculations” are correct, 9556 should have the bed by the balcony. Happy sailing!

How do you do these calculations?  We are in 11329 next year and wondering the same thing.  THANKS

  7. If you don't want to buy the soda package what I have seen done in the past is parents made their own "cruise cash" for the kids on their computer. They then gave each child a set amount (say $25, $30 whatever is reasonable for your budget and goals) of the cruise cash to be responsible for and to which they could use for anything they wanted on the ship and the child had to "pay" the parent out for their "cruise cash".

This allowed the parents to maintain a budget and at the same time teach the children budgeting, responsibility, etc. Some parents gave out the cash each day, others the entire week and others half at start, half at beginning.

  8. Thanks so much. I have read several times about a laundry package (one bag as much as you can fit for one price). Have they discontinued?

Is there nowhere I can see what RC is currently charging for internet. laundry, ship add ons etc? How does one budget? When should I expect something besides excursions to appear in my Cruise Planner? I have read of others who have info in theirs for other sailings in 2019?

    Thanks

  9. Just booked my first RC Cruise in about three years. Boy have things changed :)

We will be aboard Allure in November 2019. A few starter questions.

We booked under the WOW sale and got a OBC, basic soda package, Johnny Rocket's and Rock climbing.

My 1st question is the drink package, if we decide to buy the deluxe drink package do we get a discount since we already have the basic package?

I don't drink coffee but travelers with is do, does the Starbucks take their gift cards?

Is there anywhere I can go to look at the prices of internet, dining, laundry packages, basically everything? I looked at the cruise planner and nothing is available to look at and I am trying to develop our savings budget above and beyond the cruise itself.

Does RC still allow you to carry on wine? I know at one time it was one bottle per person or per cabin, I forget which.

Is there a way to be notified of Cruise Planner sales when they are available?

    Thanks so much
