  1. Yes I'm in the UK. I called NCL told them I wanted to make a claim for out of pocket expenses they sent me a Link, I completed the form including details of what and why I was claiming, uploaded a copy of my Easyjet booking showing the price and submitted it all back to NCL. I recieved an automated response to say they'd received it and would respond within 30 days.
  2. No. Actually at the moment I have no insurance for next January as I haven't renewed my annual travel insurance yet .
  3. I've really no idea, but it's not unreasonable to ask for out of pocket expenses to be refunded based on the fact that we're out of pocket due to their decision to redeploy the fleet. "If you don't ask you don't get."
  4. No , I booked the flight myself with Easyjet . I have submitted a claim for these out of pocket expenses which have been brought about by a decision made by NCL of which I had no say in the matter. I'm a massive NCL fan, but they do have a responsibility to ensure we are not out of pocket due to their decision to cancel a cruise . Call them for the link to make the claim you will need to upload the airline paperwork showing how much you paid.
  5. Why don't you make a claim to NCL to recover the cost of flight the flights you purchased and not using because of their cancellation. I have
  6. The Canaries has been a popular Winter destination for Europeans for many many years due its warm climate. I have booked a cruise on the Epic departing 05th Jan 24 at a very reasonable rate, even taking into account I travel solo. Lisbon is a great place to start the Cruise ,it cut out at least 2 sea days each way compared with departing Southampton (UK) and is just a short flight from the UK.
  7. Spare Pair of Glasses (Spectacles) Hearing Aid Batteries 😂
  8. I recently purchased cruise next vouchers on board Norwegian Jade (4 x $250 vouchers for a total cost of $500) and at the same time made a booking for a future cruise using 2 of the voucher. I was told that I would received an email confirming the booking at the full price and after around 10 days I would receive another email confirming the reduced price after the 2 cruise next vouchers had been deducted and this indeed happened exactly as I was advised . I was also told that I could apply the remaining 2 unused voucher to another existing booking that I had. On my return home I contact my PCC and he indeed was able to apply the two remaining vouchers to an already existing booking, although I only had a defined period of time to do this otherwise they could only be used as a deposit for a new booking . So I am quite happy with the service and information received from the cruise next desk and will certainly be using the service again.
  9. As a solo traveller the free at sea $50 per excursion credit added to my platinum discount works well for me. I've had several free excursion as well as paying very little for some others.
  10. I have already made reservations on Norwegian Epic for Nov 2025 Rome to Tel Aviv B2B with the return cruise Tel Aviv to Rome. I've also got my eye on Norwegian Star departing Lisbon to Southampton in April 2025 but at the moment it's far to expensive to make a reservation, I cruise solo.
  11. The sort of adventure type activities aren't as prominent around the Mediterranean ports as say in the Caribbean. Most of the Mediterranean cities are stunning with history going back thousands of years which most excursions are aimed at. From Naples for instance the historical sights at Pompeii and Herculaneum are stunning. Barcelona is famous for, amongst other things it Gaudi District and the Segrada Familia again which are stunning, Rome of course it a plethora of history and sights these sorts of attraction form a large percentage of excursions around the Med. However with a bit of googling you may find some more specialist tours to suit at some of the ports of call.
  12. From LHR to Southampton the 2 main public transport options are:- Take the Tube to Central London and get a Train from Waterloo Station or Use the National Express Bus Service .They operate direct services from LHR to Southampton and can be booked in advance on line. The National Express Bus Terminal in Southampton is close to the cruise terminals . Obviously a private transfer is also an option. I Hope that helps
  13. I'm British and a solo traveller, for me the free at Sea packages are invaluable. I pay virtually double for my cruise to a have single occupancy cabin and typically I pay around UK£ 150 for Free at Sea on a 10 day cruise and this side of the Atlantic this includes gratuity on the drinks package. So to get 1. Drinks 2. Specialty Restaurants 3. WIFI 250 Minutes 4. 50$ (around £35) off each excursions I prepay the daily service charge. Given all that I can get off at the end of a cruise with a zero balance for my board account. Its a no briainer for me
