We have had such discounts regularly on S class ships. However, on E class, it depends on the laws of supply and demand. There were no such discounts on the Ascent but a 30% discount for the first night was available on the Beyond. Check out Dining in your Cruise Planner and book early.

On our last cruise in FLL, an announcement was made for cruisers to leave at 8:45 a.m. There was no option to stay later. We were among the last to leave and we were outside at 9 a.m. After us, there were the B2B.

Many people bring their own water bottle and fill up around the ship using a clean glass or cup to fill it.
Have you observed what people actually do when they are refilling their water bottles? Very few do it in a sanitary fashion. Won't catch me there.

We haven't sailed on the Eclipse since before Covid and are wondering which of the cast production shows are on the ship. TIA
The shows have been the same for us since the first year. Different cast and a few changes. Don't expect completely different shows. However, the cast does put on a show of their own that highlights their skills and interests. That is not to be missed!

It has been 5+ years since we have booked a future cruise while on board a Celebrity sailing.
Have there been any changes/improvements to this?
I remember reduced deposits, OBC.
Thanks
The main bonus are the reduced deposits. Do your math on the price of the future cruise.

How far in advance to you send in your info? I don't sail until November, but I now have my 6/30/24 statement. I'd rather send it in fairly soon instead of waiting until early October when I have my 9/30/24 statement.
I have a cruise scheduled for February 2025. Submitted the form with proof of ownership (scanned page of brokerage statement) on Wednesday and received the OBC on Friday. And Thursday was a holiday.

Actually the ship's water probably has less contaminants than the natural spring water you think you are getting in those bottles.
I drank the water from the tap as the taste was better than the brand with a sulfur taste that was provided in plastic bottles.

I think they may have done away with the aluminum bottles and replaced with plastic. They were hard to open when wet. Haven't seen them on my last 3 cruises.
Agreed. Have not had the aluminum bottles in a long time. Back to plastic.
The aluminum ones were difficult for many cruisers to open. Maybe we can make some cruisers happy by going back to the cartons of water.

Looking to book on the Reflection, either of 3 cabins 8331, 7299, or 7129. How do I figure out bed placement?
Thanks!
Go to S-Class Cabin Information Compilation section above the topics section.

I'm looking at a cruise on the Ascent, and cabin selection is a bit sparse. There are a lot of E2 cabins on deck 6 still available, but most appear to have lifeboats right below the balconies. However, it appears to me that the last dozen cabins on both sides in the aft are clear of the lifeboats and just have a walking deck below them. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, does anyone know whether the music from Eden is loud enough to be an issue in those cabins?
Finally, the deck plan shows an access from deck 6 at the very stern down to Eden. Is this actually an access from the cabins, or is it just access up to the perimeter seating in Eden?
Thanks for your help.
The access is up to the perimeter seating. Not related to cabins.
Be aware that there is a smoking area on Deck 5 Port side just outside of Eden.

First I would consider the itinerary. If all appeared somewhat equal, I would strongly consider either the Ascent or Equinox. The Ascent is a lovely ship and the shows are just fantastic. A nice layout as well except they have pickleball by the Rooftop Garden. Plus the lack of traditional balconies could be a consideration. The Equinox has the Sky Lounge which I miss on the E class. The shows on the Equinox are very good and have been there since the beginning. You will also have traditional balconies on the Equinox.
A good dilemma to have!

Once upon a time I had a good PVP, but he disappeared. No replacement. Find a good travel agent.
We also had an outstanding PVP with Celebrity. During Covid, he disappeared but his name still appeared on our bookings. Not sure why. We were re-assigned another but this person disappeared quickly. I was told 2 weeks ago that I would be assigned another but still waiting. I suspect there are few left.

One of the differences is that there are more amenities provided. I found the food as being of better quality and some of the cutbacks re-installed. I recall the days when the daily bottled water was removed for Aqua Class. Guess what? It was provided during the President's Cruise. I find that the food is of good quality on our Celebrity cruises. Is X number of dollars worth that which is being provided on this cruise? Only you can determine that.

When I call, I usually ask where the staff member is located. When I do get someone from outside of the United States, they have to check with a supervisor. It can be a lengthy call. Last week, the call was answered by someone in the main office in Miami. She quickly handled the call and before I knew it, I received a new price and then received the revised invoice in my email.

On a 7 day cruise how many formal nights should we expect?
There will be 2 nights where you will see people dressed up. Everything from tuxedos and fancy dresses, to suits, to shirt and tie, country club golf shirts, etc. They changed the name from Formal Nights to Evening Chic. Dress as you will.

I saw a la carte so that's why I asked. Anyone know how much discount usually is when we board? I understand they add tips also.
You are correct! On the top of the menu for Murano, it says "Murano A la carte". However, that is misleading. There is a fixed price and you can choose from the various selections. There is a different menu which is a wine pairing menu called Five Senses.

Make sure it is a European brand, as the ingredients are way above US standards.🙃 Fact!
Is that an extra version olive oil based lotion? I used to apply baby oil with iodine. PF=1.😀

Hi. Have not cruise since precovid. At that time there were "drinks of the day" and specials on buckets of beer. We are not big drinkers and are Elite (I know about the HH elite event) so have opted not to take a beverage package but we may want to take advantage of any specials. I looked at some dailies and did not see them. Are they still offered or is it a dinosaur like many other things ( such as: I remember getting served in the MDR potatoes in an individual basket made from a pastry lol). Thanks. Looking forward to our cruise no matter what
There were no Drinks of the Day Specials similar to what had been offered pre-Covid on our last couple of cruises. I just double checked our dailies and none are listed.

NCL has umbrellas and other cruise lines have them as well. I have seen them in videos on other Celebrity ships like the Ascent as well.
I don't recall seeing any umbrellas on the Ascent. Not sure what videos you are looking at. They would pose a safety hazard. You may be thinking of cabanas.

We will be sailing Reflection January 18, 2025. Will Luggage Valet be available on this sailing using Southwest Air?
It depends on what time your flight departs. Must be after 11:30 am. Southwest does participate in the program. Southwest used to have a 6pm cut off as well but not sure now.

Hello everyone...can anyone tell me what time the chec-in on thd app opens up? For example, my upcoming cruise has a date of Oct. 30th, but what time (CST) can one access this process? Purely selfish reason for inquiry...I like to be first in line with the greatest of 'arrival time' options. Thanks in advance!
On our last cruise, I got on at midnight to check in and the earlier times were not available. Not sure why.

We're going to be in Aqua later this year for the first time. I know Blu is "come anytime" but if we wanted to go to one of the main restaurants (Edge class) what's the protocol? Our reservation says "6:00" and if I try to reserve a time for any day at one of the main restaurants it won't let me as the dining time is "fixed". Is this actually true? Or can we just walk up somewhere whenever?
On our cruises on the Edge class, it was Anytime Dining. You just showed up where and when you wanted to dine even though you were in Aqua class. We were not able to order items from the MDR on the Beyond but were able to do so on Ascent. One night, we wanted to try one of the MDRs. We just showed up to one of the dining rooms and were promptly seated. No reservations or permission needed. (Be aware that the staff in Aqua will know you have dined elsewhere and may ask you how your meal was)

We did the Celebrity excursion and it was one and done. Very crowded. Boat was packed. Another vote for Captain Marvin.

Hello...I was wondering why there is no shuttle, from ship to port entrance, provided at each port? Many of us cannot do the long walks from the farther docking spaces, especially Nassau....Way too far, so we lose out... Thank you
There was a shuttle in Nassau to the port building.
Laundry question
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted
We have sent laundry out as late as with 3 days remaining on our cruise. Turn around times tend to vary. We have got it back in 24 hours and as long as 72 hours. The earliest I would send out laundry would be the morning after the ship departs.
