  3. I was going to get my haircut (2:30pm appointment). The shop is in Old Town Monrovia. A total back up, every street had cars parked. It was organized. Cops everywhere. I finally got inside and the owner showed me the back parking lot …just filled with those black, long, & shiny clean BIG SUV’s!! Turns out Kamala Harris was one street over, something with a play center/therapy for children with special needs and just kids in general. My hubby who works in the South Bay, said freeways were a mess everywhere. 🛳🛳 Bobbi
  4. Hi, I just read your message, so I popped over to AARP & logged in. Clicked on PayPal option. Again, nothing … 🙁🙁. I can do the quizzes, see my Profile etc etc. Just can’t purchase! Soooo frustrating. Did I miss a step? Do I need to do anything besides click the PayPal “circle” option? I even tried the PP option AND putting in my credit card info … the C.C. I use for PP. I do appreciate your tip though, happy that somebody has found a way around this … just trying to spend some money on AARP ( and save $10 too 😁) 🛳🛳 Bobbi
  5. I gave up this week trying to buy Carnival & RCCL Gift Cards. I’ve been attempting to buy the $100 cards on both cruise lines. It always stops me. So, I called RCCL yesterday and was told to use Chrome. So, I installed the App. No difference, after I put in my method of payment (have tried Credit & even Debit cards), it locks & doesn’t allow me to finish. I’ve bought them for years from AARP online, off my iPad, no problems. Anybody have a suggestion? 🛳🛳 Bobbi
  6. 2,900 on my B2B May 20 …. I loved being n the Panorama in September❣️🛳 I dont recall the numbers but it was SO nice. Went back again in March and the numbers were definitely up! 🛳🛳 Bobbi
  7. On my B2B a couple weeks ago, we were handed envelopes by our Cabin Attendant on our last full day. Switching to the second cabin, I found 2 envelopes already on the dressing area table. We last cruised Royal in 2018, so IDK if this was standard procedure. I remember our first cruise in 1986 — all the tips were paid in envelopes. And we booked via an actual travel agent in our little town! 🛳🛳 Bobbi
  8. We had a problem due to understaffing in the MDR . Per our Head Waiter, not my opinion. Hopefully this will be resolved soon, but on this Navigator cruise in May, it limited the table selection to a large table. Yes, this is just my experience. So, I wanted to make sure it was all taken care of before hand. I went ahead and called RCCL this morning. I was happily surprised that I only had a momentary wait too … Yippie! We now have 5:00pm MDR early dining on our September cruise. 😃😃 🛳🛳 Bobbi
  9. 🎶🎶 I was just on the Navigator . Each night for dinner we were serenaded with “Washy Washy” songs by 1 or 2 of the wait staff . I noticed smiling guests washing their hands and singing “Washy Washy” as they entered and left the area, it added a positive fun spin! 🎶🎶 Nothing wrong with washing our hands before we eat … 🛳🛳 Bobbi

  13. Hi, I was on a B2B on the Navigator. Switching to Early Dinner (from My Time) on the second cruise could only happen if I wanted to sit at a large table with strangers, which I didn’t want to do. So, I opted to eat at the Buffet when it opened each evening. Anyway, I’d rather have this settled before we cruise. Not having a full staff created a backlog with the My Time. Maybe by September this will all be in the past , who knows?? 🛳🛳 Bobbi

  15. Hi, After my Navigator cruise this month, I want to switch to a set dining time. Is there a way I can do this online? Or must I call Royal? Last time I called it was a 2-1/2 hour hold (it was late March -early April ). How long are wait times via the phone now? Thanks! 🛳🛳 Bobbi
  16. I also was on this cruise Part 2 of my B2B. I ended up eating dinner at the WJ Monday- Thursday evening (as soon as they opened). I was very encouraged to see folks washing their hands in the “ Washy Washy” area provided. I didn’t see people touching every thing in the Buffet. I am NOT a fan of any Buffet! But, as a Solo cruiser that week, I chose it over a big table with lots of strangers. Due to medical reasons, I am still wearing a mask out in public. I was the 🧑🏼‍🦳 lady with a 😷. Not too many of us wearing those masks. Hot tubs?? You mean those things with all the kiddos in them?? 🤣😂 No Way. Once upon a time weren’t those “ Adults Only”. I think the other reality of a hot tub …. is the adults drinking and using the tub as a toilet. So, it’s just a big NOPE for me. I enjoyed the cruise. It was my first time on the Navigator. I’m sorry your cruise experience was gross, dirty and with cold pools/tubs. 🛳🛳 Bobbi
  17. I didn’t go to the shows, so I can’t answer your question. Yes, it was overcast and cold inside. I’m glad I wore a jeans jacket when I borded! I wore it everyday 😟. I can’t believe I never even thought of the typical May Gray/June Gloom. I assumed once we got out of Long Beach area we’d have sunny skies. Oh well …
  18. Hi, No the Compass no longer is delivered to your Cabin. They don’t even have them in the racks by the Guest Service Desk, if you want a paper copy you need to stand in line at Guest Services. Now, I did receive paper copies of various kinds of information in my Cabin. So, perhaps this is also a money saving idea to not deliver the Compass everyday, Paper menus in the MDR also must be asked for … I’ve never gone to the Captain’s Party, so can’t confirm they still have one. But, they announced other party’s over the loud speaker & in the Compass. The last night they announced the 80’s Party at 10:30pm. Too late for me … had to pack and get to bed early. 🛳🛳 Bobbi
