Anyone know if the Splendor muster stations are inside or outside? Last muster I went to was outside and took ove 45 minutes... it was very hard for me to stand there that long... my back felt like it was going to break... I may ask if i can sit somewhere during the muster if it is outside...

Hi Stitch, I only met you and Mach once, it was on Bloggers Cruise2. I remember him in the Pajama dress up contest... that was so funny!! He also helped me when i was going through a tough spot, and connected me with JH... helped me get through a tough time. I am so sorry for your loss... Prayers for you and your family...

Also, if you decide to use the shampoo and conditioner and soap, provided by Carnival in your bathroom, you can ask your cabin steward for more if you run out. You don't have to have special soap and shampoos... it's a cruise... relax... the soaps and shampoos will get you clean...have a great time!:cool:

I love cruising and Carnival has given me many many good happy memories! And therefore, I will be on my 29 Carnival cruise coming up. So, the number of cruises and sea days that you take with them, definetly shows your loyalty to Carnival ... I would say bring back the Welcome Aboard Party to everyone, not just us Platinums and Diamonds. I think some people started feeling left out when they always got to go the the Welcome party, and then they were not. That would definetly be a start. Bring back the little things, like the Andes mints on your pillow (not the choclate that they switched to that just wasn't that good), bring back the Hurricane glasses that the Drink of the Day came in (without paying extra)... something about those just said "Hey, I am on my cruise, the fun begins now!" Sometimes, it just the little things...

so, here I am again... still not sure about this.. so here it goes...

I put my deposit down over a month ago... If I pay my balance, it will be over the 500 needed for the credit. However, it will only be 300 since the offer. With my deposit before the offer, and my balance totaling the 500+ will I get the credit, or do I need to spend another 200 on the card now to make the 500 total after the offer? I actually have had this offer before, but didn't take advantage of it on the last time it was out. I am thinking of calling if they don't give me the credit to see if they will add it...

I agree that is a very long time between platinum and diamond. I've been platinum for 8 years, and have taken 22 Carnival cruises since becoming platinum, and I'm still 35 sea days away from diamond.

I have been Platinum since it became available. With my 29th cruise booked, most being 7 days, I am still Platinum.

No you don't have to book a new cruise. I thought the same thing last time and used it no problem. Just add the offer to your card if it doesn't show up tomorrow and then pay online or by calling Carnival. As long as it's paid directly to them you will get the credit.

confused... so... after reading post after post after post... i am not sure if i have the answer i am looking for...

I have my deposit down on my cruise which I booked about a month and a half ago... i had this kind of offer previously but it had run out before i booked.... my deposit was under 500.00 And my balance is under 500. the cruise itself is over 600. So if I pay my balance, on a cruise previously booked before the book in between dates, and my total paid is over 500, will i get the credit? Or isit too late for me??:confused: hope i didn't confuse anyone else... thanks

I was going to ask if i have a deposit paid on my cruise, if i pay the balance and it adds up to the fivehundred or more, would that count, and give me the credit on my statement.

Then, I read the offer. It states that you have to BOOK between 7/5 (which we all know is tomorrow) and 12/31. It doesnt say you have to cruise between those dates. It says if your cruise is booked between those dates... so i guess that leaves me out. I already booked over a month ago:(.... am i understanding this correctly? Is there a way to get around this ? And since my cruise isn't paid in full yet, will that make a difference> thanks

I. I do have to say, I did go to the nude beach in St. Maarten and practiced a little toplessness there. It was kinda refreshing, tbh. I too, would not be offended if a woman decided to go topless on the serenity, but I'm also a generation who is fighting for body positivity and with that comes acceptance of the human body in all it's forms. So, maybe I'm not so sensitive to it???.

I did the St. Maarten thing too...thought what the heck, I don't know anyone here and won't see them again.I too felt it to be quite refreshing . Beautiful beach, nice breeze... and then, that night in the casino, the male dealer asked me if i had a good day, and i replied it was a great day. I went to Orient Bay (the nude beach). He got a HUGE smile on his face and said "So did I":o:D

I have booked a short premier cruise, 4 days. Just wondering if anyone is back and can tell me their experience.

Was there still a welcome party for the premier cruisers? any other special things you can tell me about?

so my question is, if you book a pack and play, will your premier offers disappear?

I was on the Sensation last Sept. They were not scanning sail and sign cards. There was a family in front of us standing in the sweltering heat for 45 minutes during muster drill.. then they announced names and cabins to report to a certain area. One of the names mentioned was the father in front of us. He said what is that about? I said they are calling names for people that didn't show up. He said , they called his name. And said he better not be put off the ship or made to do another muster drill. Not sure what happened

I've been on 35 cruises on CCL and I can't remember the last time I used the hot tub for the reason mentioned above besides children use those hot tubs who knows what they do whsile in them and the drunk adults are probably just has bad.

I like to get in the hot tubs and pool first thing when they open, usually no one else there... nothing beats sitting in the hottub in the early morning with the sky and ocean breeze... this is part of my cruise ritual:D

I am planning a cruise today and prefer to avoid the ships with the current mechanical problems that are changing itinerarys etc...

I was actually thinking of the Splendor which is currently having probems... If i am thinking right, was that the one that was stranded and towed back to port.. I am thinking it was.. and am pretty sure i am going to avoid that one... Can anyone post a current list... Paradise, Splendor, any others at this time? thanks

I always loved booking the balcony or inside cabins on LIDO deck mid and forward. Just a quick jaunt and onto the Lido deck for early morning coffee. And hitting the hot tub when it first opens before the water gets too contaminated:) It was also nice and quiet in these cabins.

I am thinking now that with water works right there, when you come out... maybe not such a good idea to book one of these... what do you guys think? I am in midst of planning a cruise and Glory might be one of my choices...

Make sure you check back. I have seen them add more premier cruises a few weeks after the first were announced. One nice thing is they have made the bounceback offers good for 6 months out instead of just 3. My bounceback from November I was able to schedule in April. They had asked in a survey last year how to make the bouncebacks better and that was one of their suggestions to give more time. Good thing they actually listened.

I wish they would have told me on the bounce back, if you couldnt find something that worked, or if it was gone already, they would give the cash option towards any cruise... that i could have worked with.

Does anyone know if after drydock is complete, the aft pool will remain adult only? I am thinking they may put serenity back there and keep the pool as adult only... that way there is a place to cool off in the serenity area. I am considering booking on the Glory... however, i will never book a cruise without an adult pool again, if it is a ship with more than one pool.

this is happening to me today! I need to be logged in to see the specials I am looking at. I need to price different numbers of passengers, cabins, etc. I need this info but cannot get it. It takes me directly to the cart, with a cabin chosen for me, and no option to change number of guests...

Well, that is why i was saying, i have a sign up offer on my Amex card for spending first 500, i get 150 statement credit.

then i have the world cruise line offer, of 100 credit if spending 500 on a cruise. I would much rather have the 150. Just wondered if they will both be done.

i just my AMEX card. And with it comes 150 credit if you spend 500 within the first three months. I called them today to verify that. And also asked about the Carnival cruise offer. Or world cruise line offer... Yes it was there in my account and i added. Now my big question is, does this 100 show up as a discount on your cruise.. or a statement credit on your Amex card. The reason i ask is i would rather have the 150 than the 100. Just checking to see if i am eligible for both. One is obviously related to booking a cruise. The other is related to spending 500 on anything.

Since i will be solo, i have to pay double. Wish they could make an exception on these special offers. I really wish i could have used my bounce back earilier this year. Could have gone on a 6 or 7 day paying only port and taxes for one. No solo surcharge. That would have meant 91 bucks total for my cruise. I took too long trying to decide which date worked best for me and if i could find someone who could go in that timeframe.

got my offers too. Very few choices.. prices seem high.. might book one though. I thought September pricing would be lower... but not.

OP... i had a cabin booked with 2 people. It held 4. Booked ES. So a third person wanted to go. We were able to add her to the 3rd person rate. It was 129. Then another friend wanted to join us... they let us add her too... 4th person rate... 129. First two was 459pp. We could have asked the friends to split it up... but heck, we already were going... so let them have the lower rates so they could join us.. no change fees were added because it was the same ship, same category cabin, same date.
