  1. No bounceback for me... I tried again yesterday... only two available... a five day from Jacksonville with two bahama ports mon to sat and an 8 day on Conquest. 8 day are hard to do because of pet care while I am gone... and only upgrades available..and airfare that is normally around 200-300 for this trip, was running 500... not paying that much airfare on a nonrefundable fare... so I missed my cutoff date which was yesterday. Oh well, easy come.. easy go I guess... this was my first bb offer and i was so excited to get one.

  2. I called about the march 18 cruise and was told it was closed . I called Monday. I also was told by the casino dept. there is no official list for pmi, that cruises can be added anytime. So, unfortuneately , i have not been checking as often as i should because i was told that the list is updated on thurs. I am glad I spoke with the lady in the casino dept. She helped me understand exactly what happens as far as the promotions go. She was very helpful.

  3. Okay everybody..So here's what we found out today. This has been an issue not with "the casino" , but with our PVP not taking the initiative to offer to search for options for sailings for us, and having us do the work instead.

Thank you all so much all for your input. We spoke with someone today who took the time to do a search for us. I explained what we had been told and going through the last few days. She said that was totally ridiculous..We agree!..lol.

So, we are now getting choices for some itineraries that qualify for the bounceback offer. Plus, we were told that we can call back if the choices we were given don't work for us, as long as we book before the deadline.

All just likes you guys said..Thank you so so much!

I was on the fence about one I was thinking of taking but trying to find out who could go with me, so waited a bit, then got sick, so just a couple days from when it was available,it was gone. There were only 5 in the time frame and ports that would work for me, but when i called back, all were gone. I have until 10/6 to book but from what i am told, they only add to the list on thursdays, and once a cruise falls off, it stays off. So, I have one more shot at it, but was told, normally they just add to the latest date, which in that case will be after my sail by date. These special offers do book fast as they are very limited. So don't hesitate if you have one in mind. Good luck, and if there is a next time for me, I won't hesitate. :)

  4. I understand about the premier cruises. It was very easy and no problem.

I'm having problems getting info on the available cruises for our bounceback. It's a free interior cabin, but we pay the taxes/port fees. We would most likely upgrade our cabin to a balcony.

As it stands now we're being told that we have to look for a cruise that we're interested in, and then call to see if that cruise is on the list of available bouncebacks.

We already have a cruise booked in a suite. We're considering cancelling it to schedule the bounceback. The casino rep said we can only use a bounceback on a new booking.

Our PVP said our current booking date on the Miracle isn't available for using the bounceback and there's nothing available at all for the Miracle. I've called two other times to check a couple itineraries, but so far neither available. Just seems crazy, difficult and time consuming.

Shouldn't we be able to at least call and get a list of the cruises that we can choose from?

Our PVP said no, we have to call as described above. We're frustrated and we now have less than 2 weeks to book the bounceback or lose it.

Does what were being told sound correct?

Any input would be much appreciated!

Is your original cruise before final payment... if so, cancel it and book your new one....

  5. On the card you receive for your bounce back, it does say limited sailings and not all ships or dates are available. I was told them what month i needed and what ports i was interested in sailing from, and they provided me what was available. There were only a few. And the one i am interested in might be gone now. They also told me new list comes out on Thursday. But the ones there now might not be there. One person told me they only add on to the end of the dates already posted which in my case was Late March. Another told me not necessarily. I may wait until tomorrow to see if somethin more to my liking is available.

Just call and give them the month you are interested in and ports you would like to sail from. Call the number on your card . I will say that one lady who answered checked on for me and said it was no longer available, them put me through to the actual casino extension, and they said it was still available. So if you are not sure about the answer you are getting try again. Good luck getting your sailing...

  6. Buckeye..Did you find a bounceback itinerary that will work for you yet? How did you find out which ones are on the list. Check back on the casino forum to see my comments about what we're being told.

Something isn't right. It has to be easier than this. We must be doing something wrong.

I have been asked to provide when I want to cruise. Then they tell me what is available. So haven't booked yet... been super busy at work... hopefully there will be something left for me

  7. Just a follow-up - I received a PMI offer (bounce back offer) on my recent Valor cruise a couple of weeks ago. As usual, good for booking up to 6 months out. I chose the third week of Feb where there are more than a dozen cruises available that week. The first 10 had NO PMI cabins available at any level. I could see that the newest ships or longest cruises would be sold out, but to have almost no available offerings (that are all almost 6 months away) seemed very limiting...

I have a bounce back pmb offer, from my cruise last week. I wish i had a list of available cruises. I can't go again this year, out of vacay days. so I am looking at feb or march. They had 3 in feb... one had inside and oceanview sold out, so only thing available to me was balcony... which is not free... Then there are only 2 in March. I am consideirng booking feb. although that is not what i really want. They told me the next round of offers come out each Thursday. But I have to sail by 3/21. I am worried that if i wait to book, hoping something more preferrable gets added, if it doesnt the other choices might be gone.

  8. Just got back from our 5 night on the Sensation . First things first , Carnival needs to dry dock this ship, don't get me wrong I had an amazing time and the staff were wonderful but the vibe on this ship isn't like others I have been on . There were little to no entertainment on the Lido deck and the quality of the food was bad ! Just to let people know, the dining room still had tablecloths, no chocolate on pillows at turn down (didn't bother me ) no hairdryers in OV room, robes were there and room steward cleaned 2 x daily.

We were on this cruise too! Had a blast at Margaritaville! Got to the beach at Half Moon early enough to enjoy the water, then stopped and got lunch, then back to the beach for more sun and sea! I think if you leave the ship early enough, it does help. However, I have been on other sailings where we were there longer. I agree as far as entertainment goes. I didn't hear any carribean music on embarkation day on the lido, unless I somehow missed it?? I thought it was going to be on all ships by now... As far as food, I thought it was good. Except the Pizza... that was not good... when you picked it up, at least mine anyway, it just flopped over because the crust was paper thin. The staff at the Pizzeria was not real friendly at the times we went there... that doesn't mean all the staff are like that. We had excellent dining and cabin service! Also, the casino staff were very nice. And had good bar service shipwide, including lido. Also had twice daily cleaning in the cabin...

And the tablecloths are still there. I enjoyed this because the sweating glasses are not making the table wet with everything sliding around.

All in all, it was a good cruise.. I would do it again!

  9. I am wondering if anyone here that has bounceback cruises can answer this. I have a total of five cruises I could book from. I have until 10/6 to book. I can only cruise until 3/21. Only two available in March as of yesterday. I was told that they add and remove cruises on Thursdays. What are the chances that more March offers will be added? I am not crazy about the itinerary offered. I do have a nice one out of Peurto Rico. but don't really want to fly that far.

  10. My husband almost always gets a bounceback offer from the casino on the last night of our cruises. He plays a lot...but always ends up either up a few hundred up, or down not more than a couple hundred. But, throughout the cruise, there is a lot of money in play...so he scores a lot of points. We just got off of the Ecstasy on Thursday with another bounceback offer (PMB).

We had already researched future cruises that we'd like to take. We travel with our kids, so sometimes we use the free interior for two, and book a balcony or OV for 3 across the hall. Or sometimes we use the PMB as more of a "discount" offer, and book a room with all 5 of us crammed in together. This time, we found a cruise in December on the Elation that matches our school break dates. We booked a room for 5 using PMB. Ocean view room...and for all 5 of us it was $1200 out the door, including all taxes/fees. Not bad!

We tried looking at dates in February that match a school break we have then...but there were no cruises available at all that worked for us. It seems like maybe they use PMB to book out excess capacity on upcoming cruises, so I'm hoping we'll come off of our December cruise with a PMB offer, and that we'll be able to snag a February cruise then. Fingers crossed!

Oh, I almost forgot...usually we can't see the PMB bounceback offer online when he looks at his special offers. However, this time we could. We still booked through our PVP...I just prefer to book that way...but we could have done it online.

My offer is pmb. don't show up online. So I am out of vacay days for this year.. only have feb or march options. they said there were 3 in Feb. and 2 in March. They said more would be added on thurs. but don't know if any will be for March. I am debating, book now, or wait to see if something better comes available.

  11. If I were you, I wouldn't do anything until after the doctor visit. If it cannot be repaired before the trip then I would be inquiring about ways to stabilize the shoulder while you are away. Then I would ammend my excursions to work with the situation.

this is also a good suggestion. Ask your doctor by phone, since the visit is later, if there is way to stabelize it while on vacation.

  12. If it were me, not say you have to and not telling you what to do. But I would cancel myself and let my son heal. And get him to understand that we can always do another cruise when he heals and then he can do the excursions that he wanted to do. I always want my kids to understand that somethings come with disappointment. And that vacations don't always bring fulfilment in life. But that is MHO.

I totally agree with this. I would also cancel, let him heal, and then rebook either cruise or land vacation, whichever works best for him.

I would not wait for the physician visit because if i am recalling right, you said that is after final payment and there will be a percentage of penalty to pay. If you cancel now before final payment, you will lose 50 dollars per person, and the rest can be used for a future cruise within two years.

Land or sea, if you do not have the right doctor, it could end up being very uncomfortable for your son.

  13. Carnival Vista began service 1-May-2016. We were on in Inaugural sailing. It is a great ship.

Vista is a new class of ship. We are looking forward to our second Vista cruise on the Transatlantic sailing next month. :)

Thank you for the nice answer to the op. sometimes people answer with responses that aren't necessary. the reason the poster only stayed 15 minutes is that she got this nice answer and no need to continue reading this thread.

    Thanks again :)

  14. Buckeye..So very happy to hear you got your bounceback!

Just wondering if anybody has ever upgraded to a suite with their bounceback free interior offer and if so, which type of suite and how much was it to upgrade?

I had asked about upgrades on a couple of the sailings.. for oceanview it was 160pp total of like 403 for two with taxes. Balcony took it up to over 700. Kind of takes away the whole idea of a free cruise... but really not bad for two people... Only 350 including taxes each..

  15. Ive only gone solo one time.... still had a good time... make sure you book some ship tours, as this way you may meet people. go to the lido deck. I met lots of nice people there and in the casino. I will say this, as a solo, for me personally, while i had a great time, and will be doing another soon, I had fun, but it is definetly different for me than when i travel with family and friends because even though I can share my experiences with them, there is no one to talk to about it that was there with me.

  16. What is a bounce back?

    Sent from my iPhone

On the last night of my cruise, when I got back to the cabin, there was a note/envelope with an offer for a free interior cabin. Limited sailings... must book within two weeks and sail within six months. Not all sailings are available... I only had three to choose in Feb. or two in March. I was told they will go fast. I also was told they release new dates every thurs. So, wondering if I pass this up, will there be something better when they post them again on thursday. Or will I miss out all together. I can't cruise again this year, vacay time is all used up.

Also, these do not appear in my VIFP offerings. I was told that they wouldn't, I would have to call to find out which sailings were available. I just hope I will be able to get one of these booked!
