  1. Well Graham, that's a first for me. Chocolate coated strawberry for breakfast. I still reckon you and Pauline are on a cruise somewhere.🤣
  2. As Azura is based in Spain in the winter and Malta in the summer. We can look forward to an abundance of prawns, unless it's really operational reasons.🤣
  3. My memory may fail sometimes, but this is the Glass House on Britannia in October. Perhaps I have got it wrong again, but I think those curly pink/white things are Prawns and quite nice specimens. 🦐
  4. I get a bit confused. On Celebrity and Royal last year...prawns.In the Glass House...prawns. In UK supermarkets...prawns...In the MDR...no prawns...I'm sure there are other examples. This, to a layman suggests cost cutting, not lack of availability. We will not be that bothered and will still have nice meals, but telling it as it is would be more acceptable than P&O making up spurious reasons....not to mention coasters 😁
  5. If they gave me that. I would kick up a real stink. That's a beer mat, not a coaster.......wrong coaster Gromit.🤣
  6. In Gran Canaria we will wander acros to las canteras. Not far and apparently one of the best beaches in Europe. Cafe's and restaurants etc.
  7. You can download one from your app store. Apple, or android.
  8. There's one on your vaccination certificate
  9. What did the waiter say when you asked?.
  10. Oh how the memory plays tricks. I have pictures from Chops on Royal Caribbean...no coasters...Melia Lanzarote...no coasters, but QR code for drinks...note to self.....take more photos of trivia.🤔
  11. Ps. Britannia in October and Hard Rock in Barcelona. Proper coaster on P&O..I didn't ask, it must have just appeared...magic ?
  12. Sorry, I don't know. We were last on a P&O ship in October. We have lots of pleasant memories, but coasters, or lack of, has passed me by. I'll look through my photos. I'm sure I would have taken a picture. If not ,We are on Azura at the end of next week. I'll take a picture. At least I will have a remedy......no coasters Gromit.🤣
  13. TBH Sharon, I think many businesses accept that may happen. Once we were allowed out ' Rishis dishes time ' we were down your way. It was difficult to get a table and folk unable to use a QR code were given a single use paper menu. Customers didn't want to handle menus that had been doing the rounds. I'm sure the good folk in Riga would have taken the time to read the menu to a British Lady on her own.🤣
  14. You could always ask the waiter ' can you bring a coaster please'.
  15. In Barbados, I can't remember actually walking out of the airport. Off the plane, into the bus, off to the ship.
  16. I have 3 cruises booked this year on P,&O to add to the 4 taken since lockup ended+2 on other lines. I guess that shows we are fairly content. Would we like more choice in food, or a bit more luxury?. Sure we would, but I won't be going into print if there isn't a coaster on the table. I would probably ask the waiter for one if it bothered me. If we order a drink, we tell them not to include a drinking straw. I have seen folk taking a picture of a scuff Mark for their review. We join Azura next week. It won't be perfect, but will be enjoyable without a doubt.
  17. On Celebrity Silhouette a brash young sommelier asked if I would like to try the sauvignon blanc with the lobster. No I'll have a mateus rose please ( that shut him up ). A bit later...another rose sir?..no thanks, I'll have what you recommended. 🤣
  18. Thinking is was funny driving around Argentina with some kind of Falklands numberplate. I don't know the whole story as I try and ignore anything that involves him.
  19. We try and be considerate to wheelchair users. We don't know that they want to be where my foot is. I'm sorry I jumped the wrong way, I didn't know there was another wheel chair right behind me banging into my heels. I thought the beep, beep, beep was somebodies pager for their dinner table, not a reversing scooter going over my toes.Do they look when reversing. just like they do in the car park ?.Perhaps being a little patient with us sorry folk who don't know the etiquette, rather than tut, tutting us may help. I use the lift when I'm knackered and need to go up 6 decks . Sorry ,I didn't know a wheelchair would be outside when the door opened. ...give me a minute to get out...I'm trying...tut tutting won't help...mind me flipping toes.😁
  20. Sometimes. ....I went to our management meeting and had words with the boss privately......I've changed the agenda around a bit. After the minutes, we will do John's bit as he needs to leave early. Our obnoxious Operations manager quipped ' nice of him to bother turning up at all.'.. John needs to get away as his dad died last night. I felt really guilty grinning all the way up to London.
  21. That is your choice and works for you. Until we get on the ship, we don't have a clue what time we want to do anything. We have a look at the planner, app or printed and decide what entertainment we want to see, or what we are doing ashore, perhaps joining up with other folks. Dinner fits in around that. Unfortunately all that weight will still go on.🤣
  22. It's so easy, I can't see the issue. Lots of hungry folk wandering around the ship.??.
  23. I seem to recall text saying ' clicking on my way' gives you 15 minutes to get to the restaurant. Perfectly clear.
