Funny old world. A year or so ago lots of folk had reservations about the vaccine. This time!!! .We are booked in for Friday. DW said ' I wonder if they will give us the one that works with both strains, perhaps the flu jab as well. I said I don't care, they know what they are doing. Thanks all you volunteers. I just hope I don't get that big hairy paramedic with the tats. Second thoughts not too bothered.🤣

We purchased the Refreshment package on Anthem, about £22 pppd. It included just about all soft drinks, coffee, shakes, mocktails and water. We didn't drink anymore than we would normally and spent about £150 on booze. I think we ended up more than breaking even, but no faff. We had the classic drinks package on Silhouette. That was about £35pppd but included tips and naff WiFi, so good value. Anthem and Silhouette were both good, Silhouette a bit more relaxed, but both good. We have never had a cruise that we didn't enjoy. Britannia in a couple of weeks so can compare a little more authoratively after that. I'm sure Britannia will be good as well.

I think that folk sticking their gadgets into somebodies telly could be classed that way. Do they really all know what they are doing.....the tellies gone all funny. You shouldn't plug your toothbrush in it Doris.🤣

We have the odd diet Fanta and more than the odd diet coke. The P&O refreshment package seems a bit restrictive, so we won't bother. The RC one last week included most mocktails and Johnny Rockets shakes. About the same price. We are on Britannia in a couple of weeks. The drinks package is over£1,100 for the 2 of us. We have never spent anything like that .

We do and afterwards take the towels to the laundry to ensure they are dry for the next morning ,tidy up, polish the shower screen, borrow the Henry ,Do any washing up. Can't cook our own dinner...Health and safety......or we could always pay a few thousand for a holiday and expect them to do it....🤔

Perhaps the ' operational reason ' is they don't want the punters fiddling about with the electronics. If someone came into my house and asked where they could stick their USB.............?.......Not to mention hair curlers/straighteners..🤣

HSE regulations limit the weight of bags to 23kg. If the bags can't get on the plane, they don't need to be weighed again at the port.

Most airlines limit the weight of an individual case. We keep ours below 20kg as DW can put them in the car easier.🤣

You can take multiple bags.

Food is a bit better and lots of drinks. I paid extra to ensure we had 2 seats together. DW logged on again to ensure she sat somewhere else. Last time we were on a TUI holiday we got priority security and the lounge. I'm not sure if you get that on a P&O charter. Last time the TUI man gave me some little bottles of Brandy and Baileys ' for your cabin sir '. All very civilised. Enjoy.I 😁
