  1. Collapsible cubes work great up there...for your next trip!
  2. Many years ago we paid $25.00 for the lunch at Lawn Club. We had read from others that it was an amazing burger so we decided to try for ourselves. The burger was good...not amazing for us...we were packed in VERY closely with others which was the biggest drawback...it was a we tried it, but from our personal perspective, it was not worth the money. We are going their for dinner on our next cruise with our specialty dining package that helps lower the cost.
  3. For my upcoming Reflection cruise the Lawn Club Grill is listed at $32.99 for the first cruise night dining and $44.99 for the other nights which is listed as a 10% discount from booking onboard pricing listed as $50.00.
  4. We have stayed at the Crowne Plaza for 2 recent cruises and find it a perfect hotel for pre-cruise stay. We typically stay 2 nights and have not been bothered by extreme numbers of other cruisers. Walking distance to many good restaurants especially for breakfast. We love walking to the pier and we also enjoy a visit to the USS Iowa Battleship since we are from Iowa (and get to go onboard for free).
  5. FYI It’s more like 45 days out. Our upcoming cruise check in was over 50 days prior
  6. We were charged taxes in LA on the Discovery Princess in October 2022...it wasn't very much per drink. I can't remember exactly what we paid. In New Orleans last month, it was about $7-8 total per person, but it took about 6-7 hours for us to get down the Mississippi River to get to the gulf and we were thirsty 🙂.
  7. So sorry Bob...I guess I was a little too anxious with my questions and should of waited for your wonderful update. You are extremely kind and patient to personally reply with the information. It sounds like your cruise is off to a great start! Smooth sailing!!
  8. What category is your room if you don't mind me asking? What check in time did you have? What was your actual boarding time? Inquiring minds would like to know, LOL!! Also, can you let me know if they are charging taxes on the drink package beverages ordered until the ship hits the International waters. Thanks so much! Smooth sailing and thanks for taking us all along!!
  9. We are traveling with another couple and would like to book a table for 4 at Crown Grill We are linked so I can select and book for all 4 of us. Is there a way to have each couple pay for their cover charges with 2 different credit cards online? It doesn't appear that way as when I go to add another credit card...it looks like my onboard charges and everything will default to the new credit card so I wanted to check. Has anyone called Princess...and they were able to spit payments? Just wondering...Princess online chat is not working and I was trying to avoid hold times if not needed. Thanks!!

  11. We recently paid taxes on our beverages ordered within our drink package on the Discovery Princess while in Los Angeles (San Pedro) and on the NCL Breakaway while in New Orleans until we were sailing in International waters. Our next cruise is on the Royal Princess from San Francisco with US port of calls to Astoria & Seattle. I just like to be in the know so wondering if anyone knows which of these ports will have the extra taxes?
  12. Have a great cruise! We are sailing Royal in April for my birthday. Could you please post the nightly menus from the main dining room. It would be extremely helpful to determine when to book our specialty restaurant! Thanks in advance!!
  13. Thanks RocketMan275...that is opposite of typical robes, but I appreciate your reply. I am going to pack one...just in case they say no! Never have had an issue, but cutbacks-cutbacks-cutbacks!
  14. Headed out tomorrow for Breakaway and finalizing my packing...anyone with recent experience know if in a balcony, are robes available on request for this room category? Thanks in advance!
  15. This is a phenomenal review...very well stated!! Did you happen to have an opportunity to jot down a main course or 2 each night in the MDR to give us a general idea the order of their menus? If not, I understand...you were on vacation...if yes, thanks in advance for doing that for me!!
  16. Awesome...are the ones highlighted in green, your favorite? THANKS!
  17. Not one thing wrong with a good ole Miami Vice...it always gets attention as others see it and want to know what it is :)!!
  18. I love anything with Elderflower so definitely will try the Matador. I do not enjoy the very popular RCCL Lavender Daiquiri, but I will try anything once...so adding Lavender Patch. THANKS!!
  19. I can not drink Saki without first saying...Saki Saki Woo with a few happy arm motions...my whole family says it in harmony...so others will now know how to identify me onboard :)! Is it this...MOMOKAWA PEARL Junmai Ginjo Nigori Genshu: Made only with rice, water, yeast and koji with the rice milled to 60%, it is cask strength and roughly filtered. Offers notes of vanilla, pineapple, banana, coconut and anise rounding out a creamy body
  20. Enjoying following along!! What is in a Glacier Blue Hydration? Have you noticed if guests with the open bar package (not premier +) are getting served fountain soda or canned soda?
  21. No offense taken at all! I am doing the research to prepare for my 2/5 Breakaway cruise so I have a list of new drinks to try that are somewhat specific to NCL. I will never get close to this list, but I am not claiming I will stay sober either. Our goal every cruise is to get a drink (or 2, or 3) from every bar/lounge onboard. We make us a bar passport and hang in our room to cross off each night. We have sailed on the Breakaway 2 other times...but it's a clean slate every time 😉 🍹! Inside Bars: o Prime Meridan Bar (Deck 8 Aft-near Cagney’s) o Shaker’s Cocktail Bar (Deck 8 Mid) o Ice Bar (Deck 8 Mid) o Maltings Beer & Whiskey Bar (Deck 8-Mid) o Syd Norman’s Pourhouse (Deck 8-Mid) o Bar 21 (Deck 7 Aft-near Shanghai Noodle Bar) o Bliss Ultra Lounge (Deck 7 Aft) o O’Sheehans Bar (Deck 7 Mid) o Mixx Bar (Deck 6 Mid-between Dining Room) o Atrium Bar (Deck 6-near Starbuck’s)-MAY HAVE DRY SNACKS o Headliner’s Comedy Club (Deck 6 Mid Port) Outside Bars: o Sundeck Bar (Deck 17 Forward) o Spice H20 Bar (Deck 16 Aft) o The Waves Pool Bar (Deck 15 Mid) o Maltings On The Waterfront Bar (Deck 8-Mid Starboard) o Shakers On The Waterfront Bar (Deck 8-Mid Port)
  22. Did anyone notice when you were on the Breakaway with the open bar drink package (not premium +) if they served fountain diet coke or canned diet coke? I am a bit of a diet coke (not zero coke) can snob for my one bad vice 😉!
