Very true and I'm on board with that. That being said, I have to live with this guy 😂. At least I have a year to work on him. Being a recently retired finance person, I have multiple statistical and spreadsheet skills to use to convince him. In all probability it will be a mix of both O and DIY.

The prices for O's excursions are due watering. I'm doing as others have suggested and started a spreadsheet to compare O's prices by their programs and independent. The fly in my ointment is DH. He's being insistent about taking all cruise line excursions because on our very first cruise, we watched a couple get left behind during sail away because they were on their own. I think it traumatised him 😂

I know this is just a preview of Vista (and things can still change before launch) but Ember I think will be relegated to a lunch venue for us since the couple of menu items described continue to underwelm. The cocktail program sounds intriguing and DH will adore the new pastries for breakfast.

Thank you for doing some investigation into the Vista enhancements. I'd be curious to know exactly what the Ember menus are like as we are big fans of Jacques and Ember sounds like a let down to us. Comfort food is fine but I can get that here at home.

It's been wonky the last few days. Don't think it's the normal weekend snafu but I'm good to keep trying.

We've still have over a year until our August/September Vista cruises. I'll be following along to see what others are doing or contemplating.

I'm putting in another plug for Scomas. We were just there in May and it was still delicious.
