  1. I am considering booking a cruise that requires $900 deposit(which is non-refundable). If I cancel prior to final payment,  does this mean I will lose the whole $900 or does it mean I  will lose  $100pp and the rest can be used  toward  another  cruise?

Also,  there was a statement  that said  if I found a lower price within 48 hours RC would honor the price. Does that mean prior to final payment, they will not adjust  my price if I see that the fare has dropped?

Hard question to answer. We were successful in transferring our OBC to our most recent cruise 2 different times. Several variables. My best advice would be to call your TA/PVP or call Carnival if you don't have one. As always, YMMV. Good luck!

Yes, I have an email in to my  pvp, just thought someone here might know.

  3. So I have funds still out there from a Carnival canceled cruise with the $600 OBC. Will they let me book one of these cheaper cruises with those funds and keep the $600 OBC?

The new cruise is cheaper than the canceled cruise so what happens to the overage?

The terms of the new cruise says must pay in full and that the full amount is non-refundable. If I am not able to go, do I lose out on the whole thing or will I get an FCC for some of it?

Careful with the 48 hours, it’s more like 3 days out. The apply by date may still be April but the use by date should be one year.

Thank you! So instead of using it by Dec, 2022 I would need to use it by Jan. 2023? I was hoping to apply it to something mid 2023.

Yep was breeze. Both my cabin stewards were great. And having 7 mostly unrelated people at a shared order I'm sure was difficult for her. Guy next to me his medium rare brunch steak was burnt and his eggs over cooked. Next lady probably got his as hers was rare and red and she ordered well done. They werent related and had cut into their food and eaten some so couldnt change.

I figure there are lots of inexperienced people. I would not have been happy about the water incident. I have never had a large bottle of water brought to me without asking.

When we were on the Vista at brunch, I requested double crispy bacon and my husband did as well. I got two pieces of limp raw(to me) and hubby got none. The waiter insisted hubs did not order any. My eggs were hard as rocks (not even close to over easy). However, I did get the rye toast.

The Vista cruise is why I had canceled all cruises thru end of the year, RCL & CCL)

I had a weak moment when I rcvd one of those cheaper promos. Not a $25 but did get a better price than normal.

I had multiple incidents with dining and gave them a low rating on feedback. Taken alone no biggie but way too many. Your comment about signing for water brought one to mind I'd forgotten about. They brought a large bottle of water to my dinner table and i said no thanks, I'd like a Pepsi. I said again no thanks. Before I could leave I had to sign a slip zeroing out the bottle of water. I told the waiter he was being too pushy and I shouldn't have had to sign for a refund for a bottle of water.

Same 5 days for brunch I ordered double bacon and got 2 tiny pieces. I said to her I asked for double bacon. I expected her to say oh ok I'll get some, but in front of a whole shared table she insisted that I had received a double order of bacon. When she said that the whole table cracked up. Became the joke for b2bers from then on, oh you got double bacon. She also had many orders wrong. It took a hour, just was mixed up orders and confusion. Everyone at the table could see those teensy pieces of bacon. Good thing you got double or they have to cut the piece in half another said.

Anyway ... my bottle of water they tried to force on me after I said no thanks politely they charged it to my account and I had to sign for not wanting it. Dining service needed a lot of training imo. Didnt affect my cruise but some acted like they never waited tables before. It wasn't just about perks. Service was poor.

Uh oh, I am afraid to ask you which ship you were on. I am getting on the Breeze next Saturday.

  7. We have taken our grandkids (and their parents) on Carnival and Royal. When given a choice, the grands always choose Carnival. They are little foodies and think the food on Carnival is much better. I think it is mostly due to the better options outside of the MDR and I agree. MDR on both seem to be pretty much the same on each line.

What the older girls prefer on RCL is that the decor is nicer, but food outweighs that so they always choose carnival.

We just got off Liberty yesterday and the balcony smokers were in full force - makes me SO angry.   I don't understand why some people don't think the rules apply to them.   🤬

Do you remember if the deck 4 smoking was on port or starboard side or both? How far down was the designated area?
