Okay, so I just placed my order for water and a bottle of jack. I payed no tax as I chose to have it delivered on day 2. There was a delivery fee but you would pay that anyway.

I think you can order from room service or the hospitality area. The same place you order a wine package on the ship.
I am not talking about purchasing from the shops where you get it cheap. The price would be what you can order online to be delivered to your room, around$95.

So, I was going to order a bottle of liquor and water to be delivered to my room on day 2 of my cruise because it will be sailing from Galveston. I see I will be charged tax. If I wait until I get on the ship, day 2 and order those items will I still be charged tax?
It has been awhile but I believe if you purchase a drink before you are in International waters you are charged tax but once you are in International waters you are not charged tax(leaving from Tx).

The last time I purchased it was in 2018. At that time they were only offering two price levels. I ordered it from the Cherry on top, candy store.
Will they still offer it? Who knows.

Thanks all! For some reason I thought it used to be 170.
Maybe you are thinking of Royal? They have a diamond plus level at 175.

All three denominations are back.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I had three rooms together(one person will be a no show). In order to keep 4 balcony rooms together I needed to book a 4 person room so that is what I did.
So, for 10 of us we can spread out now having a 4 person room, a 3 person room and two 2 people rooms. We will be 6 kids and 4 adults.

I have 2 people in a 2 person room right now. If I want to move them to a 4 person room and add an additional two people(making it 4 people in a 4 person room), will I be charged a fee for moving the first two people?

Hubby and I both rcvd the RU2 offer today. Can this be used on a cruise that is already booked? Also, does this cover the 18% gratuities or is that covered in the offer?

I thought I would report back:
I was able to use the funds from my canceled Dec. 2020 cruise and apply to my new Dec 2021 booking and did rcv the $600 OBC.
I was told I can also apply this promo to a previously booked cruise, but at the going rate and I would lose the $100 OBC that was included.

Yep! My Royal February cruise was just canceled.

The only reason we wanted to go back is because we were married there 25 years ago. We were supposed to get married in Nancy's Garden but things didn't work out. Later, we tried to find the garden but never did. We thought we would try to find it when we were supposed to be there in May, but guess not.

My guess would be HMC.
That would be my guess as well. We are not beach people so would not be thrilled.

Any guesses as to what a change in itinerary would be? We are booked on the May 1 Dream cruise that was supposed to go to Key West. We only chose this itinerary because we had not been to Key West in many many years. Freeport and Nassau are pretty crappy ports, but again we had not been there in years. We will likely just cancel.

Sorry to jump on your thread but I have a similar question. My Nov and Dec. cruises were paid in full using gift cards. I plan on taking the $600 OBC option. I do not have a cruise picked out and will likely wait until next year.
Do I go ahead and opt in for that option online or just wait until I have chosen a replacement cruise?
Will I get refunded(in gift cards) anything over my deposit or does the full amount just sit there attached to the booking?

Very odd. I have a Nov cruise from Miami and a Dec from Pt Canaveral, and I got the cancellation email. Just a little confused.
I don't know. Were your cruises longer than 5 days? They said they would do shorter cruises at first.

All cruises from U.S. homeports except Port Miami and Port Canaveral
between November 1 and December 31, 2020
Dear Carnival Cruise Line Guest:
We continue to work on our plans for our return to sailing, but in light of the CDC’s decision to extend its no sail order, we have made the decision to cancel some additional cruises for November and December. Regrettably, this impacts your booked cruise, and for that we apologize.
Throughout this pause, we have said that our return to operations will be gradual and phased in. When the time is right and we are able to resume cruising we plan on starting up our operations in Port Miami and Port Canaveral. Consequently, all cruises scheduled to operate from all other U.S. homeports between November 1 and December 31, 2020 have been cancelled. We know this is disappointing as it impacts your vacation and holiday plans.
As we have offered previously during this pause, we are providing two options for you, including a bonus value incentive package that has proven very popular with our guests. We hope you will be able to rebook your vacation using our enhanced value offer, providing a significant onboard credit for use on any future cruise through April 2023.
We have fully automated your ability to make your choice online, avoiding the need to call us. Whether purchased directly from Carnival or from a travel agent, you can submit your request via our online tool, which will also allow for faster processing. Calling us will not expedite your request. If you booked through a travel advisor, they are also fully equipped to help you submit your request and rebook another vacation with your future cruise credit. This letter supersedes any previous offer you received.
Please make your selection using our online tool here – there is no need to call and unfortunately, given the high volume of bookings impacted by these cancellations coupled with our contact center employees working remotely hold-times are much longer than during normal operations. Whichever option you select on the form will apply to all guests on your reservation.
This offer is valid until May 31, 2021 for you to make a selection. If no selection is made by then, you will automatically receive a Future Cruise Credit*.
Regardless of the option you choose, your taxes, fees and port expenses, Carnival Vacation Protection, pre-paid gratuities, pre-purchased Carnival shore excursions, beverage and Wi-Fi packages, and Fun Shop purchases will be automatically refunded to the original form of payment.
If you purchased your own flights for getting to your cruise, we encourage you to contact your airline or travel agent about your options as the airlines are also working to accommodate their passengers.
We continue to work with the industry and regulators on the protocols and procedures that will guide our operations when we can resume sailing. Information is available at the link below or at www.carnival.com/health-and-sailing-updates and we will continue to keep this page updated with the latest news and additional information about our operations.
I want to reiterate that the health and safety of our guests, crew and communities we serve remain the cornerstone of our plans and decisions. I must also acknowledge that we are grateful for the patience and support of our guests, which has been a huge motivation to our team as we have worked through this unprecedented situation.
Thank you.
Sincerely,Christine Duffy -
Here is my deal. I have about $8 or $9,000 in gift cards so the money has already been spent.
-
It looks like out of Galveston only the 4 & 5 days show for Nov & Dec. The 7/8 day only show for Dec 19 and beyond.
-
My B2B on 11/29 & 12/6 on Freedom are not showing up either.
-
In my case, I have gift cards so will make final payment with those. The money has already been spent.
Tax on liquor purchase
in Carnival Cruise Lines

I think it was around $8 but leaving from Galveston you can't get liquor delivered on day 1 anyway, so why pay the tax.
