  1. I’m curious if you chose to be dropped in the old town or the guide didn’t want to go back to the ship. If so it’s unacceptable.
  2. For me it will be more unpleasant to be on the ship around adults who are constantly complaining about everything like here on CC.
  3. It would be great if Oceania offered Business air at the Regent’s rate. I believe Regent’s prices were very reasonable in some cases in the past.
  4. We’re not big fans of the organised group tours but there're always some excursions that we’re willing to take on any cruise. When not on the tour we enjoy eating ashore and aren’t missing onboard lunches that we have already paid for. We consider the price of the cruise in whole not the components that may be included or not otherwise.
  5. We found that the kids we met on O ships were very nice and well behaved. They don’t bother us in any way.
  6. The question was about virgin Pina Colada and Bloody Mary.
  7. Your menu choices look wonderful. Our next Oceania cruise will be our first on the Vista. We’re looking forward to trying new dining venues.
  8. Your cabin attendant is supposed to place it on your bed with the night turndown service.
  9. Only means that normally Oceania repeated cruisers don’t use lanyards which are more common on the big cruise ships.
  10. Those are available without any charge.
  11. That were my thoughts too. While I don’t question the credibility of those post I was just wondering why even if we were having some problems nothing remotely similar bad ever happened to us. I guess I’m yet to hear plain NO from anyone on board for such simple requests.
  12. I believe it doesn’t work like that. The onboard booking promotion is a fleet wide. It changes from time to time but not specific to the particular cruise you’re onboard at the moment. You can get the same discount even if you aren’t on board but have a cruise coming within the 30 days time frame.
  13. We were seeing long lines at the future cruises sale desks even on the longer cruises in the past.
  14. Well, this is my best answer to your question. By “best results” I didn’t mean after the final payment savings in particular. That being said, if I remember correctly one time we got a cabin upgrade after the final payment date. Our cruises normally don’t go on any sales because of the strong demand for that sailings. But the one we have booked now for some reason have already been through three sales and every time we had our price adjusted correctly. And occasionally there were some other issues that our TA got resolved to our complete satisfaction.
  15. I’ve been following that thread and noticed that you advocated for another person. Sorry he wasn’t successful. I’d suggest that he needs a new TA. We have an excellent one who is always persistent with O and gets us the best possible results.
  16. We’ve previously cruised with Oceania not two but almost twenty times and I can tell that it was really unusual based on our experience.
  17. Sorry for the autocorrection typo that made you think it was very funny. No, we normally get a sale price for the cabin that we booked originally. It might be some other type of compensation if one is past the final payment date. Most of the time we get to keep the promotions that we have already had. Though, some sales and promotions are not combinable with all booking onboard benefits, but the “Best buy guarantee” was always honored in our experience.
  18. On our recent cruise in April we booked another cruise on board like we do most of the time. The OBC was the same $250 for the duration of the cruise. Though we also saw it changes on the some other occasions. The feature that we value most is the “Best price quarantine” for booking onboard that potentially can result in much more savings than just OBC. What I actually found very unusual there was barely someone at the future cruises sales desk every time I was passing by. Nevertheless, the sales person stated that the sales were going very strong for the O cruises in the future.
  19. So if one’s TA can get the discount that Oceania supposed to apply based on their terms (booking on board benefits?) and the other one can’t do the same I’d think it’s the time to look for a new TA.
  20. That’s interesting. Not that I suggest booking air through them but for our June 2025 cruise out of Oslo Oceania included air is $1400 total both ways. And it was even less for the European cruise this spring.
  21. What fare class O was charging you $1700 one way to Stockholm?
  22. My husband and I both received similar emails. The sender’s email looks weird like it wasn’t sent from Oceaniacruises. Just sent them to the junk folder.
  23. Thank you very much for your posts. Your positive attitude, which I like the most, will definitely help you to enjoy your first O cruise.
  24. The post that you were replying to pointed that the port for Kyoto is Kobe on the itinerary and Osaka on the accompanying map. One off many omissions on Oceania website. Actual port is probably Kobe that to be accurate not anywhere near Osaka.
  25. We sailed with Azamara twice. First time for the “Amazing” event they brought the whole ship to the real theater in town where the big company produced the whole show on stage. And all passengers participated in the after show festivities in the foyer afterwards. It was top quality and just wonderful. The second time, it was still COVID, for “Destination Immersion” they brought three singers and a small band on board and they performed on the pool deck. It wasn’t the same. I’m curious if with the “new” Azamara they are doing the “Amazing Evenings” again or they just permanently replaced them with the “Destination Immersion” on board.
