Whoever decided we should wrap presents can choke on a tape roll.
Go ahead and send me the tape roll. Just make sure to send it USPS so I hopefully never get it.
i love wrapping gifts...especially if said gifts are in boxes and the underside of the wrapping paper has dummy proof lines for straight cutting.- 4

Evacuated my wife’s grandma and her neighbors along with their dog. A little tricky but overall I think we were as safe as possible. Thankful for the local volunteer fire firefighters and their help with the evacuation. Headed home for a warm shower and most likely getting up early to help others that are flooded out again. All I want is that gas station Mexican food but they got flooded. I will do whatever to help them reopen as a 3 week stint is not ok!!!
Glad you got everyone evacuated safely. Hoping for minimal damage to your town.
PS Congratulations on Baby Riles!

Well, I found a new use for my (over) packing skills. I'm not too big on sweets, but I like the Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Peppermint Bark during the holiday season.
On Saturday we were at a Ghirardelli store. They have a little tin that you can mix and match different flavors of the wrapped squares (I only matched). Sign said approximately 15 squares would fit in the tin. I utilized my (over) packing skills, and, I kid you not, I fit 33 squares in that little tin. 😁

What better way to honor your current live than taking a trip on the time machine to read last Thanksgiving's live. Great review, commentary, and pics of the Mardi Gras. I'm 75% of the way through this review and then I'll hop over to the current live.

Apparently, Imma half ta trademark my Roscoe-isms...TM
It's a Urinetini or Latin variation, Urintini!
Here's the abridged list for those playing at home:
Showga pants = what you lovely ladies wear all the time!
Fauxbric = synthetic materials
Pretendian = anyone, even US senators, who claim false heritage.
I have more but let's just say that now that these are TM'd, if I have met you in person you can use them twice before payup is due.
If I haven't met you in person you can have one freebie!
Payment is 20 Sid points or one Shrute buck, whichever you prefer.
Well, dang. I was going to pay up by buying drink #15 with your Cheers program.- 1

@Happy0810 Understood. Thanksgiving is special to me. It’s one of the few holidays that is not so commercialized.
Honestly, I decorate early because of some physical issues I have. I have a little longer to enjoy the decor so it makes it more worth the wear and tear on my body. Plus I really enjoy the tree lights in the evening.
I do love Thanksgiving though. We just don't hold the gathering at our house.

As others have said, Plat on Carnival will status match you to Gold on MSC. The perks aren't as good as Carnival, but it was nice getting a few things as a MSC newbie. Only a casual casino player here so no experience with offers.

if you're going for the exotic frozen cuisine, just remember that is not lemon juice on the snow.

Glad to have you aboard! We still have a long, long way to go. Patti said that she bought that hoodie for Ryan at one of the surf shops in Ft. Lauderdale earlier this year. She doesn't remember the brand name.
Thanks so much for checking with Patti. Looking forward to the rest of the review/pics (although I know it will be a big time investment for you).- 1

No trick or treaters here, I live on the side of town they don't go to. Had tacos and settled in to watch the original Halloween and was asleep within an hour LOL. These 10 hour days kick your butt!
I would trick or treat for tacos. Keep the candy. 🤣- 2

@Greenpea2 - My heartfelt condolences to you and Sistah! Such a hard blow after the loss of The Colonel.
@LincolnLegend - So sorry for the loss of the pup. No matter what is going on in life, dogs are always happy to see their humans.

Well, we have already had to reschedule one family gathering that was supposed to be today. DH came down with a stomach bug yesterday so we had to bail. Then two of my nieces have sick parents so they're out. With all that, we decided to reschedule. I hate it because I love the togetherness of the holiday season. We don't have children so Christmas Day is very lowkey for us.
We are the hosts of the second gathering (Christmas Eve) so it will probably need to be rescheduled too. We just can't risk getting others sick. It might can be moved to someone else's house so we'll see. Figuring all that out is on the agenda for today.
