We and a lot of people could and did check our luggage in from 8am but were not allowed into the terminal, may be it was that one extra peace of paper that was the problem and it was, as we from out they had a two hour meeting to work out how to deal with extra peace of paper that turned out to have a problem with it, there was two boxes missing to one question lol
most people did not see you could draw the boxes in and answer the question, and just waited till they got to booking and let the terminal staff do it for them. which took time .

I should have been more clear it was the cruise that was getting off apparently.
-
Always enjoy our cruises
-
why would people take more luggage as it was a short cruise of 10 days
they didn't it was just what they told us.
People were still boarding at 3pm
-
Nice sunny day, and it's 5am and ship is about to dock, so it's on time,
So it's that was about the only thing on time on the embarking day
About 1000 people standing out side the cruise terminal in the sun with the staff not knowing when they let any one in its just after 10 am , we have Been told soon, why are not allowing people into the terminal?
There is more then normal amount of passengers on the ship, are right the ship as 2038 max passengers.
Then we were told because it was a long cruise there was more then the norm lugage,
But while every one is out in the sun they were having a board meeting in the passengers loundge.,
After many crusies out of Brisbane we have never seen this.

Have a great trip everyone who is actually going.
Why is there people that have to be so rude to have the idea to say something like that?
-
Just be aware of stingers when swiming in the sea and wear a stinger suit
-
I see there is about 15 people plus from cruise critic going on this cruise with us.

Have a great trip everyone who is actually going.
are you saying that there are people not really going?
That is a very odd thing to say
-

It is sure nice to be on the maiden cruise to Papua New Guinea .
-
Yes it is, anytime that suits them
lol
-
Here is a part solution to the possible problem.
they great a USB power out let and very compact
-
yes you very correct it is not realy any time dinningHmm -- I have found this in the P&O website "Make a reservation to dine as a couple or we’ll match you up with like minded, fellow cruisers" .I am certainly not intending to make a booking every night!!! -- I think I can now recall that we just turned up in the past whenever we wanted to and they put us on a table with others - in the same way that it works in the MDR for breakfast and lunch. It really isn't anytime dining - as they do funnel you towards two dining times which are approximately that which was traditional dining times.

If he is, I would not call him to change the wire in a fuse. Just because an item says something like 10amp 5 watt does not mean it draws 10amp. It means it needs to be on a 10amp circuit and it draws 5 watt. Big difference.
if you still are useing fuses in your switch board i would be asking you to up grade it circit breakers and have your circits put there own ELCB which will be partied to the men

you can ring up to book or go to the mdr and book each day or after your first mdr visit, or they have a time around 2 pm when you can go to mdr to book each day.
If you are in a suite you get to book the same table for the whole cruise if want to.

5 watts draws .02083333333 of an amp
1200 watt hair dryer is 5 amps

yes I would say we do.Are you a certified Electrician thied ? You are giving out dangerous information there. As for pax admitting they take powerboards on board the ships, we need the Power Board Police now, to work alongside the Alcohol Police and Laundry Rage Police on the ships.
before I answer that ,, are you a certified Electrician
as for the power board rules yes safety and to save money both are great things with useing less fuel helps with stop globle warming
-
may be they may show it on our cruise to PNG:D

What a pity then when someone plugs the in-room hairdryer in, or the room attendant tries to clean the room with a vacuum cleaner, and it doesn't work.
The change is being made for safety, the cruise lines aren't going to spend more money putting new breakers in all their boards with a new limit and stop appliances from working.
no one has said they were putting new breakers in at all, but what has been said they as said on another post on cc they P&O os are pluging up the earth pin on the out lets to stop power board being pluged in, but if any want to be smart they can all ways cut off the earth pin on there power board so it fits into out let.
if they did plug those two items that would only about 9- 10 amp combined in two 10 amp out lets which at the limit of 10 amp circit breaker which they would not use for moltable 10 amp out let circit and be useing 20 amp or more breaker depending they useing 2.5mm or bigger:rolleyes:
unless the as you say the room attendent was in the bath room with the some with hair dryer
-
Im sure there will plenty of pics

Arrr me harties them there pirates in these waters.:D
O I do wander if them pirates in the waters where are cruiseing to PNG next week. should a great movie and Tom Hanks is a great actor.

Houses in Australia use 10 amp for normal outlets and 15 amps for electric stoves and hot water.
yes you are right 10 amp out lets on a 20 amp circit mmm how does that work.
20 amp for power
10 amp for lighting
80 amp main
15 amp for stove as it only has up two apliences hard wired into that circit .and depending on what size stove it may be higher amp breaker. unlike a power circit with a 20 amp breaker that circit can many 10 amp out lets on it . I agree with cruise lines and there policy with power boards, or at very least they be tested and taged yearly as it is law in any work place.
by controling how many thing can be pluged at any one time is safer and can save them in the cost of generating the power.
eg we have a 4 out let power board it has 4 things charging total amps are around 3amps int he bath room there is another 4 out let power pluged in with 2 shavers and mum pluges in her hair dryer and the daughter pluges in her curling iron that cabin is now pulling around 15 amps .
by have no power boards it would cut amps needed to a max of 5amps per out let, unless some gets cloths dry or washing machine on board:D

I do think all the lines that cruise in and out of Australia are good, most are newer then P&O , but I do like the old style of cruising and wish they would being it back. as most you know we only stay in suites, yes we pay more but we like the things that go with it and the way bigger room.
Bon Voyage Pacific Dawn maiden Papua New Guinea Cruise!

nop one would not be that rude to do that. but did chat to her at the captain and the senior officers cock tail party in the Captains private lounge.
speaking of cock tail parties the one they for two cruises passengers that they have in the dome is no more, they have it in the show lounge, so you sit in the show lounge have a couple of drinks and Captain and zoltina come on stage the captain gives a two min speech and hands the mic to zoltins who gives away the first and sec prize for the most cruises, then you are told to please leave.
he still does the meet on the starboard side deck 7 on the way in like they go in the dome. must be cost cutting as they use to have more prizes lol
Have to say I liked it in the dome, yes the captain did his bit but after that he and the officers would go around and talk to the people and have pics taken
