  1. There were many people stating that they were going to miss their flights. The crew kept saying it was customs with one guy stating "when customs closes the gangway we have to close it with no questions".

They finally called "everyone else" at 1130. We as b2b were taken off around noon. To add insult it was pouring this morning outside and the long walk is not completely covered.

We got back onboard around 1230 and this was after they started to board. The good news for the windjammer was that the time it started to get really packed the room were ready.

Any case it's time for another cruise! 😀

  2. Well if anyone had an early flight they probably missed them. In the middle of a b2b on the Liberty and there are still tons of guests on onboard. We were told to meet at 11 but looks like it's going to be a while yet. At 930 this morning they were just calling tag 5,6,7 (an hour later than estimated time.). They made an announcement that it was customs fault.

  3. We have done tons of cruises with our DD starting when she was 11months. The advise of the others is spot on but I wanted to add about the toys. The nursery has a toy lending program. You can go on the first day (on most ships during the open houses) and get a bag of toys to bring back to the cabin. There is NO charge for this and most ships have different assortments so you can trade them in as the cruise goes on. Some of the toys are for bigger than 7 months but we found they worked for a good distraction. My wife just cleaned each of the toys off with a wipe when we got them as our DD would put EVERYTHING in her mouth at that age. :)

Also plan on NOT having the cruise provided pack in play the first day in the afternoon. We never were able to get it until that first night and we wound up setting up a make shift bed on a couch or the main bed for a nap on the first day. I just pass it along as we didn't know for our first and was something I wish I knew beforehand.

  4. Sorry I haven"t been able to get he Compass scanned.

There are more shows. The In the Air was supposed to be Sunday night (according to the Compass). We show up after dinner and it is a Motown group. They were really good, but not what I wad expecting that night. In the Air ended up being Monday night instead.

The times of the ice show were also different than what were original told. But it was on Sunday and Wednesday.

Quest was the last night. Really late at 11:00, but the CD was great and we loved it!

The piano player at the Schooner bar was amazing. He was there almost every night from 10-?. There is a member of the CD staff...Gio or Geno or something like that... he does alot of the trivia shows. He is great and after the Michael Jackson trivia he dances. Don't miss it...he is amazing! If you want to do the Flowrider or Rock climbing wall, pay attention to the Compass. The hours are very scattered and if you get a lot of wind (we did) they will close down early.

i would be interested in these as well (even more now reading that the times of the shows are not what was expected or reserved.) I believe they did this last year too but always good with more recent examples.

Anyone have a copy of the 4 night while we are at it?

  5. A cruise I'm looking at has a 3rd person rate higher than the first two. To me it's just funny but not too strange I guess. I have also seen a higher cost with a resident discount in the past. 😀

It's still a business and one I'm willing to pay for to enjoy a good vacation with my family.

  6. Agree with check on CC that morning. If Indy is in the same port as normal it isn't a nice or large terminal. Not sure what day of the week it gets in but I've read they have used the oasis terminal before and that would ideal. Worst case gauge the line when you get there and if it's real bad take a cab to a mall for a bit. If you can and real worried you could eat lunch at the airport first to burn some time off.

  7. We have done the liberty b2b the past two years and scheduled again for year 3. We like it because you can see a show if you miss one and don't miss and MDR foods if you go to a speciality one. The b2b process can take a bit of the day but if they have enough people they have had a special lunch on turn around day. You can also leave the ship on that day and use it as a port day (if you do that show a rci person at the port your new seapass card and you might get to get to the front of the security line!)

  8. If you like soda then I recommend buying onboard as you will have the cup for the first lunch. They have been selling them in two places (one in the centrum as soon as you board and two outside the windjammer on the pool deck port side). The deck 9 area is normally shorter early on. With the 4 freestyle machines now I would highly recommend gettin the cup onboard so you have it right away.

  9. Our DD has been on 7 cruises with a nursery starting at 11 months. As others have said it's great. She is at daycare so that helps that she's used to being with others. The toy lending program is also something that most overlook. It's great to be able to check out a bag of toys and trade it in when they are done with it. It's also a lot less to pack.

On the freedom ships we have received phones that they can call or you can call with any questions. On the Enchantment they issued pagers (though there are so many house phones around it's no problem to call.)

We find it great to take our DD after we eat so she can play for a bit and still get to bed early. They will feed the kids there though if you book during a meal time.

Also it looks like they lowered their prices for afternoon or morning hours (if open) to $6/hr before 5pm.
