The story of your DS sounds like our DD. We can have days and days of nothing planed but the second we toss money down on something is the day she says "nope today I'm going to fully act like a brat." Along with my favorite "I'm going to make sure that EVERYONE knows that I'm not happy with you!"

We bring a small light (the ones you can push on or off for like a closet) that way we don't have to turn the big light on. Might not be good enough for taking a shower but does the trick of not making the cabin so bright. It also helps for potty time in the middle of the night.

Great review and info on the diapers! I am also surprised how many they gave in that pack.

Great review. Reminds us of our DD at that age though she had more separation anxiety going into adventure ocean. What they said is correct they can't help the kids in there go potty at all. We actually had that issue around 3yo when she wouldn't fully clean up so we asked to be pages if #2 happened so we could stop any type of yucky from happening. Good to see they still give pagers to that age group.

Glad it worked for you. We did the same thing when DD was a baby. I remember calling because we could do it online and first was told no until I said "for an infant." They put me on hold but we got the room anyway. 😀

One thing to note is if you're going to use the provided pack and play it might be in the room until the first night turndown. Wasn't a big deal except for our first cruise we thought we could get the kid a nap early but didn't work. We were fine on other cruises because we knew what to expect and planned accordingly.

I have been told no to brining food into the vcl of othe bars at night. I sometimes want to grab the game sushi for a late night snack with others so instead I just leave it in the room for later. Way back when on the jewel I was even offered a tray to help carry back to my room.

I want to add that my wife and I are the same and have experienced the same thing as you. It makes me worry as I have an upcoming cruise with lots of people that are D and higher that appear to know each other.

You're not alone though. The same exact thing and I get just as angry when it happens. I once went to the bar cause I gave up and the concierge asked me why I got up when I explained I was getting ignored we got some of the best Service ever. We like to keep to ourselves and since we normally drop a kid off just before going in most people wouldn't want to talk about what we are talking about so we are ok with that. Just odd when servers and even the mgmt that comes into the lounges at times ignore us.

At least someone is getting benefit from RCI's technology group. 😃 I have had issues on b2b using the same user id but never got lucky enough for the other account to be active. Congrats! If it stays all week I see a new sticky on cc where we all post ship and user id for Internet.

I agree with everyone else that their new website is useless. I guess I shouldn't expect much but it does make me wonder if ANY of this stuff is tested out with actual end users. I know we aren't allowed to ask about other websites on here so I'll make sure to do that on my next cruise.

I guess I should expect as much from RCI. I wonder if this new website is to help them make more $ but I agree if you have ever used any previous versions this version will make you go crazy and even more so if you need to book more than 2 to a cabin.

Interesting timing. With a developing storm they are going to take their site down. I hope that the updates are better than normal or their site comes back online in time. Just odd to do an update when more people might be looking to the website for updates.

What ship does D+ get escorted out? I think I've seen this once but most of the time there is no benefit.

I do like to get going early mostly because of work but other times just because I think of all the people that want to board. Of course the best is a b2b when you don't have to leave. 😀

At least it's like all their other websites. Junk! Well here is another way their IT department is going to cost them money. If they can't even get the site to work on the day they announced it who will bother?

So now there should be limitations on who can get a porter?

How much longer will they let their IT department be so awful? It's 2015 and they want to market this cruise line to young first time families? These are the people that will cancel at the first IT trouble! Maybe all RCI's outsourcing will wind up costing them in the long run.

The real question is will they keep it stocked or is it going to be serviced like freestyle machines. Also not to forget I picture a line at 3am when most if not all bars are closed with a line of people waiting for that darn 15 minutes to pass by to refill. 😃

Yes they used to have open play hours in the card room. They setup kid toys. I have seen the same in the teen club on freedom. Both are in the morning and early afternoon. This is a non monitored room that parents can take their kids to (but have to stay with) unlike the nursery that you drop and leave the child.

I also wonder how many people skip looking at a cruise because of their site. It really is so bad. I love the improvements like today I booked MTD for 13 nights and unlike the past where you could select the same time for each night today I had the pleasure to reserve each day 1 at a time and checkout after each day. Maybe in the next update I'll have to do this for each person. 😂

We took our DD right after she was 3 and had a few accidents. They called us on a phone and after the second did give us a warning. She was fine after that as we took her potty before dropping off. Now for you're question if pull ups are still being worn it might be worth taking to nursery. Might give you more peice of mind.

Maybe it's because I haven't been able to get away on a ship since December or the fact I read too much on this site. I feel like why should I bother to even keep looking at this cruise line. All I read on here is how prices go up perks and service go down. I get it that prices go up and from my experiences always good for my money. I agree that perks have been taken away and prices gone up (maybe this is their way to drive D+ folks out.

I don't know but really appears to be so much complaining on here that maybe I should look elsewhere. Though I feel if I go read other boards on here I would see the same.

This explains the high prices this summer for the EN. Maybe they figure $12 to $14 a drink by next summer people would rather go to Disney than cruise.

What ships are allowing D+ or even D members off early? Every ship I've been on we could get an earlier number but anyone can at guest services. Only once on the Jewel years ago did they have express departure for C&A status. I just assumed it was another benefit that went away.

In the past I've used the website to check on prices for upcoming cruises because there was a page that showed prices for a given cruise for multiple dates. With all the upgrades that no longer appears to be an option and to be honest the website is even worse than normal on a phone.

I know we can't mention other sites but anyone have suggestions on how to monitor different cruises with the updates to the rci website?

Add me to the list that would buy the drink package if there was a discount for D+ (say 30%). If they really wanted to cut back they could do what the airlines do and say you loose your status of you don't sail once a year (or 18 months).
