Missed the sailaway yesterday...but will be here definitely today!;)

It is a beautiful morning here in FLL-we can see most of the ships from our hotel room and are so excited to be boarding the Westerdam in just a bit!

 

We will be the folks on deck six, just to cabins forward of the glass elevators with the Aggie flag draped across the balcony. We will be waving to you!

Thank you for taking the time to post a review! I found it interesting and useful especially with respect to organizing private tours. It sounds like you packed a lot in your vacation time as well.

They must not be as stringent with the cleaning as they need to be if they keep getting repeat outbreaks. Seems like something is getting missed or not cleaned well. I would hate to be in that predicament and feel sorry for those affected.

Thank you Megacruiser for the Alternative Dining on the Lido Deck pictures! They are really good! I just hope they separate they can separate the tables so we can have a table for two by ourselves...romance and all that...lol.

My thoughts on the luggage labels...

Maybe the color is to designate your disembarking time (replacing the ones they give you a few days prior to disembarkation). They do say to leave the labels on for embarking and disembarking.

Mine have the voyage number at the top, then deck/location (for me 7A),

and stateroom number. In the red border that mine has, is also a D, followed by a line and then the segment (SOU-HKG). Not sure about the D now:confused:.

We also have used Smithsforairports several times, both to/from London and Southampton. We will be using them London to Southampton in January and they have quoted us 77 pounds for the trip. They are great and very professional! If you just go to their website and request a quote they get back to you quickly.

That trip sounds fascinating! I am glad you and your husband both enjoyed meeting the relatives and hearing and seeing the stories and pictures! Love reading your reviews!

I do have a question that was sparked by reading another QE review and I was hoping maybe you had an answer. The OP talked about the Alfresco Lido Grill Dining Experience on deck 9 aft and said it was an alternative dining experience to which Cunard charges $10 (I guess like the other alternative restaurants). Have you seen that set up while you have been on board? Do you know if they offer it daily lunch or dinner? I would appreciate any info you can give.

In their FAQ they say they don't take international orders.

Do you know if they ship internationally or have an international website?

Checking in for sailaway. Makes me a bit sad as I've cancelled our Ryndam cruise in February. We're anticipating a move in the near future so there's too much going on.
