  1. I will be here to watch the extravaganza! It was so quiet and lonely watching the Royal Princess alone yesterday, without all of you. But at least I got to hear the Royal Princess serenade me with a few bars of "The Love Boat" theme.;)

Sorry to hear you could not sleep Kathi, but what a way to turn that into a positive....watching ships sail in.:)

  2. Pat, thank you for your review. I am sorry that Cunard did not live up to your expectations, but glad you overall enjoyed your cruise. How in the world did you win $900 from the casino?;) What "games" did you play? (I need all the help I can get...lol)

Nothing more frustrating than when food does not inspire you or especially does not arrive as you request. We are not "foodies" but when I order things a certain way, I would expect it to arrive as requested.

Sometimes you can get a mediocre experience, but that doesn't mean they are all that way. I sincerely hope you will give Cunard another try in the future!:)

  3. Kind of negates the whole purpose of an Electronic System for Travel Authorization, doesn't it?

I know...it's awful. When I went to the ESTA website it states, "DHS recommends you print this screen for your records but you will not be required to present a copy of your authorization in order to travel".(I highlighted). I had to print out a copy of that page too just in case I felt like showing it to Cunard at embarkation to prove a point.:p

  4. Departing on a QE cruise 2 weeks from today! I have read that all the ships are fitted with flat-screen TVs. Do the TVs in the cabins have a functionality that allows the passengers to view/track their onboard account and onboard spending?

    Thanks

How exciting...have a great cruise!!!! No, the TV's are not interactive anymore although they were a few years ago, so I am told. It would be nice if they still were as it would save trips to the Purser's Desk.

  5. Just been following Capnpug's B2B TA blog on QM2 and thought I would pass this on. He said that Cunard required a printed copy of his ESTA stating,

"it seems that our cousins have changed the rules and instructed the embarkation staff to view the document physically or they will fine Cunard $4,000."

Seems like we should receive an email or such from Cunard telling us this is a requirement so we don't have to scramble at check-in or onboard. Just in case though, I went to the US ESTA website, retrieved my application and printed it.

  6. It would be a world cruise but longer because I would have to say, since I am "imagining" there would have to be an overnight or two or even three at every port! Am open to cruiseline as I have only been on two. Also, would like to include Alaska, Med, UK, Iceland, Canada, US, SA, Central America, Islands, Africa (have to wait for Ebola and pirates to fade....zzzzz), Black Sea area, maybe a bit of Asia, Antactica, did I miss any....lol.
