  1. Thought I’d post pictures of some of the delicious food we enjoyed on our Sky Princess Norway/Iceland cruise in May.
  2. I’m embarrassed to say it’s not until May next year. I don’t normally plan so far in advance but, since this will be our first Platinum cruise, wanted to take advantage of the perk. From the very negative things I’ve been reading on Caribbean Princess who knows if she’ll be around then. 😂
  3. Thanks. Did you have a preference in dining rooms. This will be the oldest ship we’ve been on and, from the pictures, they all look to be on the darker side.
  4. Thanks. That’s exactly what I did but even when I tried to book daily, Palm was my only choice!
  5. I am trying to make reservations for dinner but the only options I am being offered is the Palm Dining Room which we're not interested in. Any idea why?
  6. We were on Sky Princess Norway/Iceland in June in a DB. TOTAL cruise only price was $6,537.12 CDN and included a $100 US onboard credit. To book the same cruise/category/ship/date for next year it is $6,071.36 PER PERSON with a $200 US onboard credit. Our TA said prices have increased dramatically and many cruises for 2024 are already sold out.
  7. Those are SUPPOSED to be the rules but.....we are Platinum AND our cruise was paid in full but we were unable to make dining reservations for our September cruise. Had to contact Princess and have them do it over the phone.
  8. On the Ports of Call British Isles/Western Europe forum £10 was the recommended tip.
  9. Thanks for the heads up. Our nightlight will have to go back in our case!
  10. We were on Sky Princess last month and absolutely loved the automatic light under the night table and outside the bathroom. We always carry a night light with us and obviously didn't need it this trip. Looking forward to them on Enchanted Princess in September.
  11. @John BullNow I’m even MORE confused! Sounds like John Lopez is the most complete tour; agreed? You get what you pay for I guess.
  12. @John BullI received a response from Blands Travel quoting £29.50 per person with pickup at the pier. Gibraltar Taxi Association wants payment of £55 in advance via payment request link with the following Cancellation Policy 6 days prior - 100% refund 3 days prior - 50% refund Within 24hrs - 0% refund A 3 hour tour with Gibraltar Rock Tours with John Lopez is 90 EUROS per person with 8 passengers. I will definitely report back after our September trip.
  13. Glad to hear you are taking some time to yourself and that your weather is glorious! I posted a question on current tour costs on TripAdvisor Gibraltar forum but no response as yet. Guess we just bite the bullet and enjoy the scenery.
  14. We are sailing Enchanted September 2nd. IF any of you folks are going to Gibraltar, I’d really be interested in any up to date information on taxi tours from the port. I’ve read 30-55 GBP p/p for the 1 hr. 45 min. Top of the Rock tour which is quite a variation. I’d really appreciate current information. Happy travels.
  15. @John BullWe will be in Gibraltar September 11th and, following some of your posts, decided the 2 hour taxi group from the cruise pier would suit us perfectly. Do you know the CURRENT price. The last I read it was 30 pound sterling per person, however, I received an email from the Gibraltar Taxi Association saying that is an old price and the current price is 55 pound sterling per person and is a 1 hr. 45 min. tour including Pillars of Hercules, St. Michaels Cave, Apes & views, Great Siege Tunnels. I have read some comments about "questionable" behaviour of the taxi drivers in Gibraltar so want to be clear on what to expect. Thanks!
  16. What type of beverages are offered? We don't have a drink package since we don't drink alcohol but we purchase mocktails and sodas on a pay as we go basis.
  17. @LindaConnYou are asking about Caribbean princess but the concept is the same for other ships. The aft dining room is difficult to reach, the elevators don't go all the way down but people say it's quieter. The two mid ship dining rooms, Deck 5 and Deck 6, both serve dinner. Deck 6 dining room serves breakfast daily and lunch on sea days.
  18. We had an appointment last Monday for our passports and were told it would be '5 weeks or sooner'. My husbands arrived TODAY! Our friend mailed hers in mid-May and got it yesterday.
  19. Thanks. Not ideal for Norway/Iceland but we’ll just have to make the best of it. Thanks. We were able to do that on the Grand so, hopefully, this time they’ll actually pay attention to the pre boarding request.
  20. I just checked the insurance coverage with Princess and the coverage amounts are a total joke! $20,000. emergency medical, $75,000. evacuation. Not even close to what's needed.
  21. We're booked in a mini-suite for May 2024 so hoping you'll answer the 2 questions I have. Is there any coverage above on the balcony and can you get a hand held showerhead? Thanks.
