  1. When you check pictures (flickr, etc.) be sure to see WHEN they were taken. Depending on the time of year you go can make all the difference.
  2. Considering just how bad the internet connectivity is I totally agree!
  3. When we read how easy it is to take the X96: Athens Airport to Piraeus Port bus at a cost of 6.00€ we've decided to give it a try. We're in our mid 70's and will have one wheeled suitcase each. The bus terminal is close to our hotel so we can walk or take a taxi the short distance.
  4. @spearmint When I had issues I changed my password and everything was fine after. Worth a try.
  5. We have had the classic Soda package pre booked for months now and, even at that price, we’d probably be better doing “pay as you go”. We have never carried Soda onboard but are seriously thinking of taking our 24 allowable cans when we sail Enchanted in September. The new zero alcohol package is crazy expensive!
  6. Guess we’ll find out May 13th! 🤞🏻
  7. @sircleanNo. We just have the “original” plan and that’s what’s showing on our Cruise Personalizer.
  8. What is Included The package includes all, fountain sodas, and cans of soda and juices (excluding the fresh juice bar), mocktails, and smoothies as per the menu. The package may be used on our Private Islands and all onboard Food and Beverage Venues and other areas such as the Theater or public spaces that offer beverage service. Selections and service are limited to that venue's menu offerings and operating hours.
  9. When did this package start including CANS of Soda?
  10. Our passports don't expire until January 2024 but we're going on a cruise in September and the passport must be valid for six months after the cruise. Since we're cruising in May, we need our old passports for that trip. I tried to make an appointment at the Passport Office at the Scarborough Town Centre office for our return and there are NO appointments available between now and June. Was fortunate to get an appointment for June 5th at Gerrard Square.
  11. We sailed Celebrity over 25 times but quit some years ago when we felt they were nickel and dimeing us to death.
  12. @buckeye7That’s what we’re leaning towards so definitely interested in hearing about your experience. The private tour suggested is very expensive and we really don’t want a 7 hour tour.
  13. We're going in September but had the same lack of response from Gibraltar Taxi Association. I'd be very interested in hearing about your experience when you return.
  14. This is why we stopped going to all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean; too many loud mouthed drunks. Now that cruise lines are including drinks if passengers choose their all-inclusive package (a limit of 15 drinks a day!) I fear the same thing might happen.
  15. Also going to Iceland next month. My husband LOVES black licorice but not chocolate covered. Will keep my eye out when we're on shore.
  16. The soda package also includes fresh squeezed oj which I am planning on ordering in the MDR at breakfast.
  17. The medallion is probably close enough to capture the information.
  18. I'm sure you'll love Newfoundland and, as they like to say, July is the ONLY time to visit. We went in May and it was awesome to see the HUGE icebergs. Enjoy.
  19. Off subject but, seeing as Canada was mentioned, I'll share a conversation we had with Americans from one of the southern states. When they found out we were from Toronto the wife had no clue where that was. Her husband's reply was "they live close to the Arctic Circle". The wife then suggested we must buy all our "warm weather clothing" online!
  20. There is a dedicated thread on the Canadian Cruisers forum which you'll find very helpful.
  21. We sailed the Grand Princess last May and loved it. The only disappointment was the buffet which is much smaller than that on the Regal Princess. However, the food in the main dining room was AWESOME so no need to eat at the buffet.
  22. We actually love the Lido deck pizza; especially if you get it right out of the oven!
  23. Unfortunately we often say now, glad we’re closer to the end of our lives than the beginning. The world and its inhabitants just keep getting crazier! 😢
  24. Very interesting thread. I incorrectly assumed it was something to be done by stealth. Wonderful to know how dignified the process is in reality. I always used to joke that I wanted my ashes interred in one of the beautiful vases on my favourite Celebrity ship but this sounds more realistic. It's my 73rd birthday today but I'm planning on carrying on for many years to come!
