  1. Maybe not for embarcation day lunch, but it is a great idea to head to the kiosk or sign up for reservations for all your dinners on the cruise. You can change later but at least you have the places you want to try booked for the time and day you want to eat there. The app is your friend in checking menus and dining times as well as making changes.
  2. And depending upon the cabin location vs the elevators, I've seen scooters on Oasis ships parked in the alcoves by the elevators. Obviously these were private scooters with bells and whistles. But if further away from an elevator a scooter could have issues just getting down the passageway if the cabin stewards' carts are also lined up.
  3. Yeppers. Some one, forgot who-wasn't Fauci or Brix, said early on that even with a vaccine, we'll get COVID again and again and again.....
  4. Always found the Alchemy to get over crowded. Same with Fortune Tellers. But the Brass Magnolia always had seats at the bar and music at the tables. 3 excellent barkeeps too!
  5. "as useless as the letter g in lasagna" GREAT LINE!!!🤣
  6. Turks Caicos has very few cases and no hospitalizations. At the end of May removed their mask mandates for vaccinated visitors. Most cases in the islands are on Providenciales (24). GT had 2. CDC is a bureaucracy and similar to the FDA in handling the formula catastrophe, is always way behind the current situation and looks toward being most risk adverse in giving advise.
  7. Maya Chan will be closed in August 😦
  8. Very early, early morning start to even make Buccees by noon. And you're still 3 hours away. Long drive from Hotlanta.
  9. This is an easy work around without going bananas on this board. #1) Do your research. I think RCCL has a special needs desk similar to Carnival's and they will work with you pre cruise. #2) Just go to the Windjammer, vs MDR. Lots of vegetable and salad offerings. Don't expect vegan unless requested. But many gluten free selections should work for you.
  10. Just head for Krazy Lobster. Or Tropicante. No cover. No Charge. Good food and drink at reasonable prices. Tell the taxi driver that's where you want to go and he'll let you out at the nearest cross street. DO NOT! go to any place along the malecon where someone is trying to entice you to stop at their place.
  11. According to the official T&C Covid site as of May 1, visitors are no longer required to wear masks but must be fully vaccinated (2nd dose), exception from vaccine being those under 18. As of 5/28 , GT had 2 cases no hospitalized cases.
  12. According to forecasts, there will be heavy rain across southern Florida on Friday but moving into Bahamas on Saturday. So unless a ship is delayed in arrival because of weather on Friday, there's no reason at present to close any port, Miami of Port Everglades.
  13. When is your cruise? If over the summer, you should know that there are always thunderstorms lurking about that cause delays, especially out of Atlanta. and if your flight is originating somewhere else, you can be in for double delay.
  14. so the solution here is to bring your own coke (soft drink, not dope😉) and then order shots of your favorite rum and a glass of ice. Or just drink the best aged (non-flavored) rum they offer with a couple of cubes of ice.
