  1. I've looked at the top rated options. Of course Woodwind would be the best. Sea Cow is only available to be booked via RCI. They look nice however, no bathrooms on board. 3 1/2 hours is a long time and being in the water and drinking are hard to deal with when there isn't a bathroom on board. And no, I'm not looking to go in the sea.

Still trying to find somebody that has been on this excursion.

  2. Has anybody done the RCI excursion Champagne Fun Cruise and Snorkel in Bonaire?

Looking for feedback on this excursion. I posted to the Bonaire board but haven't received any comments.

It says it is on a yacht and limited to 20 peoples. I am wondering what kind of boat it will be on.

We have an active role call and nobody else seems to be signed up for this so looking for some feedback from people that may have done this excursion.

  3. You can also use the points to pay down the balance on your cruise.

I used the card to pay the balance off on one cruise and once the points were in my account I used it to pay for the next cruise we have booked.

You could also do that for the same cruise. You just to have to pay off most of it early to allow for time for the points to post and then use the points to pay for the remaining amount due for the cruise.

  4. Yes, EV3 which is the location in the photo above.

Unless you need a very specific vehicle class then this location should be fine for pickup - it is where the port shuttle drops you anyways. The lot is big so I expect they will have a good selection. It is all pretty new so we do not have references to count on yet!

Thanks for the feedback. I changed my drop off to the new location from 17th street (Renassaince Hotel).

My concern about picking up a car there post cruise is the crowd of people all picking up or dropping off cars in the span of a few hours. I hope they have Fast Break there.

  5. Thanks for the feedback.

We've used the 17th Street location for drop off. Very convenient since we stay at the Renassaince which is right there. Have never used the other location and never picked up a car there. It does get busy even dropping a car off pre-cruise.

I'm going to consider going to the airport for pick up post cruise. The taxi will cost a bit more but may be very worth it.

  6. We have a reservation for a rental car with Budget for post cruise pick up.

I've returned cars pre-cruise to the 17th street location and taken a shuttle to the cruise port.

My post cruise reservation is for the Port Everglades Cruise Shuttle (EV3).

If you used this location do they take you to 17th street or another location to get your car?

How does the pick up work at the cruise port?

I tried calling the Budget office however, it transfered me to Avis and when I called Budget they

    had no idea.

I'd like to hear from people that have actually used Budget at this location.

    Thanks.

  7. Between Royal and Jays Rental Cars is one better than the other? Are there others we should consider?

Looking to rent a car for the day when in Aruba on the Freedom of the Seas in October.

We've used other local rental cars in Aruba in the past however, from the cruise we want easy pcik up and drop off.

  8. Wow, you paid off the cruise far too early and missed out on possible price drops.

Definitely pay the $75 and then take care of this with your travel agent because your travel agent (owns) the reservation, not you.

Royal Caribbean did not rob you. You kind of robbed yourself. You paid off the cruise 8 or 9 months too early & you don't own your reservation.

Good luck! I hope you fix this issue with your travel agent.

If you pay off your cruise well before final payment you are still eligible for price drops at least up until final payment. I'm not sure why you would lose that option.

  9. Car rentals in Florida are dirt cheap. You could probably rent a car at the Fort Lauderdale airport and then drop it off the following day at the Miami airport for around $30. Just take the shuttle from the Miami airport to the cruise port.

Some of the rental car companies such as Budget have a drop off office near the cruise port that will shuttle you to the port for free.
