  1. I work for a hotel and I have had our customers call up about the auth hold and said that their bank will hold up to 21 days!! i was like, are you serious!. sheesh..

Thankfully my bank for my debit card has not done that nor has my credit card.

But if a person is going to pay cash for their s & s why not just put it on your account with the ccard as back up. If you have cash left, they will issue you a check.

  2. I forgot to get one on our October cruise. But I can tell you that a Jack Daniels and coke went up to 8.00. Our 2012 cruise was like 7.50 bar brand vodka and coke was just under that. So if you have a 7 day cruise, you would need to drink 7-8 drinks a day for it to pay for the program depending on what you drink. You can get any drink under $10.00. Of course not the special glasses.

  3. CandyCruiser, that's the beauty of cruising. can order multiples if you want. and if you want to try something and don't like it, can order something else. Pictures may not look like a lot of food. but when you do an app, dinner and desert it is very filling.

I would be like Sara, will order the Shrimp Cocktail EVERY night! Do they still allow you to order 2 appetizers, if you want?

How was the Apple Puff Pastry?

Loving this review! Thanks for your time!

Dinner time! Sara ordered the shrimp cocktail every night. I'm not crazy about it. Kinda mushy.

vegetable spring rolls. These are offered every night and are very good

lobster night! The lobster was just OK, but the tiger shrimp that came with it were the best shrimp ever! I didn't order this, but luckily Josie didn't want all her shrimp, so momma got some.

  4. exactly keep looking at the excursions online. Our cruise was in oct and Christmas day I purchased us the cabana. So that was 9 months prior to our cruise. I did see you can purchase online the clamshells if that is what you wish. other stuff is once on island. There is a lot of tree's for shade where you will get any breeze over the clamshells. Cabanas are more expensive but you do get the float mats and the snorkel gear. 4 lg bottles of water, 8 sodas of your choices. chips, dip and fruit. we would definitely look at booking the cabana again when we ever go again. lol.

  5. I purchase cruise cash before I go. no photo or casino ones because cruise cash pays for everything on board:) no issues. I don't know about a limit as last cruise I only purchased 400. but buy carnival gifts cards as well and put them on your account as needed. They don't expire. don't lose them as no cash value. I had put 200 on my oba as well as the cruise cash last cruise. at the end, only 90 dollars on my ccard :D

I have been getting them since which is what paid our deposit for our upcoming cruise :). You can only process 5 cards a day on their system if you use them to pay for your cruise or put cash on your account.

  6. I love your review!!! :)

If it is at all possible I would love to know what movies were shown on the boat.

    Much Thanks,

  7. It will still take approx. 6 + weeks. Due to the fact your son's passport has expired, you will have to pay the full price for a new one. Fill out the paperwork, get your 2 photos and send it in.

If it was just a renewal, you save the 35 processing fee if you mail it in yourself.

  8. YEP, happened to me to the first (and only so far) price drop I got. AND, that was when they raised the gratuity to 11.00. what I didn't think fair was that since we pre-pay our tips that since we can't adjust them, why could they adjust and charged us more just because I got a price drop.. lol.. and btw, we do tip extra accordingly.

we still ended up with about a drink each "free" with the price drop.. so wth. free drink is free drink. lol..

  9. I work for a Mail Catalog who also has 2 stores for my 2nd job. You know when you are on a website, ex: clothing and there is a link that says, "to chat" click here, or a pop-up comes up saying, "Hi, I'm so n so, can I help you with any questions?"

Well, I'm pretty sure when carnival calls you after you have been on their website this is why.... When I'm doing web at that job, there is a box that shows everyone who in on our website, we can click on their that info and click that little box asking them etc etc. and invite to chat, see if they have questions and help them.

So what I'm thinking is, they see your online, look into your profile you have and then call you. I don't get those calls, but that's ok lol. I like looking and dreaming for another cruise and would just have to tell them, thanks, but no thanks, besides I have a PVP. lol

  10. Using the CHEERS! beverage package, guests can enjoy a wide variety of wine, beer and spirits (including cocktails and frozen drinks), along with sodas and non-alcoholic frozen cocktails throughout the voyage at one convenient flat rate plus tax and a 15% gratuity added at the time the package is purchased.

    3 day $55 per person/per day

    4 day $45 per person/per day

    5 and 6 day $42.50 per person/per day

7 days and longer $37.50 per person/per day

Prices are subject to change and price adjustments (up or down) implemented on the day of sailing will replace any previously advertised price.

now this is the main part of the FAQ page from the UPDATED (again) on the cheers program. :D

  11. Hey Jamman?? did you have to pay the taxes for purchasing it first day still in port? (if you did)

A girl on the spendor said they told her they will sell after 6pm and anything "purchased" before that would be included in the cheers program. So she didn't have to pay tax. was just curious of what you experienced.

  12. for the person that was talking about wanting a copy of the email. just go to FAQ page and print off where the new pricing is.. I think that's great their doing it, makes it more feasible to purchase.. except.. the dumb everyone must purchase it that's in your cabin. now if they change that, I would definitely purchase the cheers program lol
