food was outstanding..breakfast and dinner..We were not there every am or evening but it was ALL excellent and served at proper temps etc loved the soups.. Good lobster and beef..all you wanted!

so odd... that it could be so different .. We ate there on our first night.1/28 I had a really nice thick and juicy Prime Rib. .Husb had the regular menu rib eye..said it was great not tough or fatty, and cooked as requested! We were so pleased after reading the bad reports like those posted above. Quality Control must insure there is not such a wide variation!

We all read that..but were told it was untrue..No connection with BLU and one cannot take BLU food out there..not even sure there is a door?,? Anyone can sit out there..maybe with take out from EDEN Cafe. It was nicer view than on EDGE but still industrial feel!

We are just back from Ascent..so I can now enjoy reading your review to help with cruise withdrawal! I know it will be a great adventure..glad u are back on Celebrity!

we were happy to have plastic bottled water..no cans or funky containers. The water was purefied reverse osmosis water ..???? We brought sone Spring water with us..One week without 100% spring water will hopefullly do no harm!. Each got 1 btl in cabin/ day in AQ Class, and whenever needed at any bar!

on Ascent, our onboard Art and Architecture tour time was changed..We noticed it on the ticket but had overlooked the letter abt the change in the ticket envelope.... We had to skip the Sr Officers party b/c of the change. They told us other conflicts were the cause for the switch. . It was no big deal for the Art tour change, but when they switched our Fine Cut dining time on EDGE to a much later time without notice..we cancelled after a big hassle! about the time!

on our recent Carib Ascent cruise in BLU.. we saw upscale resort wear for male and female cruisers...very Palm Beach! Not many in jeans and NO ripped ones. Lots of fancy sparkles and dressy outfits for ladies, and for men, dress shirts ..silkTommy Bahama Island style for formal nights! NO Tuxedos and some jackets for men. A step up from the casual nights....all very modern chic! .. The few "non conformists" in "going to Walmart clothes" stood out but no one cared!

on Ascent, fewer people got off at San Juan so our planned day to relax at the outside pool never happened... too many were hanging out there.. til it rained. hard and long Then many overwhelmd the Solarium area! Until X adds newer itins , more cruisers will stay on board at the "been there done that " ports .. (We saw some fresh ones listed for the new, much smaller Oceania ship which we might try!) After Ascent, we have Silhouette and APEX booked..but not Xcited about XL!

thank you.. my husb picked it out..a sale price( ha ha!) I only have a solar snorkel watch, and one other dress watch that works so this was perfect! Pretty and useful! I mentioned to the Cap Club staff that it was my birthday, and asked if I could have my Rose early.. To my great surprise I did get my Rose and a lovely floral arrangement with a beautiful card! Special touches make me a Happy Cruiser!

I think it floats. hard to predict!

More BLU Soups as always were great..No complaints with BLU being bland.. Breakfast there was good too, esp the Omelets, Asparagus Fritatta, French Toast and Eggs Benedict...Yummy!

As mentioned, we left the first production show soon after it started with VERY LOUD SOUND and lighten- ing bolts ! (I knew I could not endure it) Last night's show Bridges was very enjoyable. Focus on Bridges around the world..Great sets and amazing acrobatics, nice dancing. The male singers were good to excellent, but the female leads not very good. . I enjoyed it all. Sal did not care for recorded sound over an orchestra, and thought the caricature portrayal of NY was unfortunate. We are not all about hip hop..How about Broadway instead?

BLU.. Roger, his Assistant and our Sommelier! Last is pic with BLU'S maitre d & Amazing Chef..He visited each table ..resounding BRAVO.! No tough meat there! As many lobsters as desired! Great desserts!

BON VOYAGE TO THOSE SAILING TODAY! We had a Wonderful time. Almost a Perfect Cruise! .Wish you the same! Today's tip.. If you are in BLU ask to be in Roger's area..he and his team are amazing. No requests are turned down! And a great sommelier too! Well...my review bogged down due to a few tech issues, and what my husb refers to as "operator error!" That's me.. But now that we are back on land I will complete the review / photos. Here are my sunrises (2) and sunset (1) to start with! Weather was clear, seas were CALM all week!

Tortola was a nice day for us..We have been there so many times..and love the people! Took a break from the beach.. We shopped for our family and friends. small stores but nice! Perfume store prices were double so we passed on it. Went to the new Cigar Bar Aromas..at end of the walk.. nice views..steep climb. Sal not impressed with prices or the bar but he got a cigar for himself and his buddy at home..not Cubans! Took a cab to Pussers for lunch.. "tradition" Still great but new owners. Will post a few pics..Hope not repeating myself.. as I had no time to scroll back..duh! I have decided reviews are not my niche! will chk on name of show we left..Today..Formal Night..we are at sea we have Billy Joel piano concert at 3..and will try the show Bridges.. will bring my ear plugs Perfect weather and seas! NEVIS was outstanding yesterday. if I have minutes left. I will post later of beg minutes from Sal.. Missing Cruise Critic but will catch up after the cruise! Hcat...and Sal!

falling behind..sorry..lots of wasted time with Reg internet... Food in Blu continues to excel! Sal's ribeye was tender and delish..I had the duck breast..really oustanding...hot and cold soups are excellent as always... will post a few pics if they load..plus waffles at the buffet for TEXED

had a great day on Tortola today..St Kitts Nevis tom..will post pics when I can.. We have eaten at the Fine Cut Steahouse ( Outstanding) , EDEN (Excellent) and Rooftop Grill ( least fav food but good servIce)

Enjoying the music onboard..Several acoustic solo and duos..Great house band. Did not like the theater show tonight.. very low. . really jarring light flashes. wanted to see it but had to leave a few min into it!
