  1. I'd prefer a later flight but this can be done. Just be prepared that something could go wrong. If you can deal with that is a question only you can answer. One thing people sometimes overlook with these early flight questions is that TSA is often quick early in the morning. They get backed up when all the cruise passengers start showing up a little later.
  2. @Ret MPI want to thank you for this thread and making be realize how fortunate I am to have to fly to cruise.😉😁
  3. If you prefer V class then you will also love the F class. They are stretched versions of Voyager class.
  4. You could still use a noodle, or something else, for buoyancy while being able to keep your face in the water with a snorkel and mask. After the first few breaths breathing through a snorkel becomes quite natural. You just have to be sure you don't take quick shallow breaths or you will be rebreathing the air in the "dead" space of the snorkel tube.
  5. I see the value for you in not having to deal with carry ons. However for me, my back pack is not going to be out of my sight until I put it in my cabin so no value there for me. Last I checked it was around $49/day for my sailing too. To quote you... never going to happen.
  6. No one has cared about, or looked at, my checkin time for my last several cruises. If they check yours they certainly are not going to turn away your husband if his is later. Don't worry about it.
  7. 8 nights on a Q class ship hands down over 6 nights on an R class ship. Both itineraries have great islands for ports of call.
  8. I have never managed to be on a ship with a stop in Bonaire. I have only seen lights as we passed by during the night.
  9. I don't know if it is sold out but I think a lot of people are not doing the entire cruise since RCI started selling segments.
  10. That is the same type of chair that Allure has on its balconies. I really dislike them. The back is not adjustable and it is not high enough to rest your head. I found that it really limited my use of the balcony.
  11. So how does the porters' coercion to tip stop if everyone falls into line with their game?
  12. So I guess not only do you get to watch your ship sail away but you can expect to pay for the privilege of watching that little spectacle too.
  13. A little too much by the book by not providing needed documentation to the guest? What chapter in the book might contain those instructions?
  14. Well this is a very interesting post. If it is true, and I do mean IF as I don't know, then the cruise lines could in fact be getting all of these charges waived and pocketing a nice little sum of money. I wonder if this contributes to their evasiveness when responding to inquiries?🤔
  15. Medical emergencies occur at sea every week. There is no need for people to endure this type of stress on top of the medical issue. The cruise lines should have a system in place to provide those affected with all the paperwork that is needed. Our dysfunctional government could easily fix this problem too. Though I suppose there is no pressure on the cruise lines to address the issue since they simply pass on the cost.
