  1. I've not tried activating the brake and then releasing the pedal. I know if I am stopped and even slightly release the pedal the car starts up. It happens before I can even get my foot to the gas pedal.
  2. Schedules don't always stay the same from week to week. I had planned out my week on Allure according to the schedule someone posted from their week. I totally wasted my time as the schedule was completely different for my sailing. It is better now that RCI has returned to pre-cruise reservations. Making reservations is not something I like to set time aside for after boarding the ship.
  3. I had not heard yet about Crosby. I really like the music of CSN&Y. Helplessly Hoping, Southern Cross.... He was probably fortunate to live as long as he did. As I understand it, he gave that body a bit of a workout... and not in a good way.
  4. Thanks for the info. I can't tell you how many times I've pulled up weather dot com to check. I have been having minor flashbacks of last winter and my flight home being canceled.... but I get over it quickly. 🙂 I can't believe someone has not come up with some simple way to deactivate that auto stop. There has to be some simple computer code to deactivate it for good.
  5. I have become used to it. I actually like that there is no vibration in the car while it is stopped. If I don't want the auto stop to activate I simply shift the car into low gear just before coming to a stop. Since the shifter is electronic, not linkage, it is effortless to accomplish this. Auto stop only works when the transmission is in "D".
  6. I am quite sure. When I bought in 2019 I used the lack of a button to disable it as a bargaining chip to get the price down.
  7. I keep a battery tender hooked up to my lawn tractor as well as an old Ford Taurus station wagon that I occasionally use. They really extend battery life. I can't remember the last time I've had to buy a battery for either since I started using the tenders. They are very inexpensive, too.
  8. Most of those electronics are not active unless the car is running. I don't see why they should kill a battery. I do, however, wonder about cars that have auto stop engines where batteries are powering everything while cars are stopped at red lights, etc.
  9. Well, a divider that neither goes to the ceiling or floor and appears to be made of plastic seems worthy of a question to uninformed people like me. So older ships are grandfathered in and don't have to have doors cut into the metal dividers?
  10. Whenever someone "questions" the experts you seem to get defensive. Plenty of people question the medical "experts" on all sorts of issues. Doesn't get me bothered in the least. An explanation probably would have had a much better affect. People are just trying to understand the reasoning behind something that is not apparent, obvious, or seems counter intuitive. Maybe it would be better to go back to building ships like Voyager, Explorer, and Adventure with full metal partitions between balconies?
