Thinking of branching out and trying O after 20+ cruises on HAL and Princess. After reading some reviews here I am wondering if it is a good idea. We recently were on Princess (food/service has gone down) and HAL was a bit above Princess with food/service. Anyone out there who would give me their observations after cruising on these 3 lines? Thanks in advance for the information. We are looking at a cruise on the Nautica starting and ending in Barcelona in November.

Looking for thoughts from those who have done a river cruise here (Uniworld). What is the main draw to this area? Geography, history, wine? Wondering if cruising this river is on the top of anyone's list. We have done the Danube, Rhine, Moselle and Po all on Uniworld and love them all. Thanks.

We got off the Westerdam Sunday and the only thing I noticed was that the Lido buffet was pretty busy at times. Food was good (not exceptional) and service was prompt. Our room steward was exceptional. We had been on Princess in March and will pick HAL before them in the future.

On the Westerdam now and a platinum Mariner. We sailed Princess 2 months ago and HAL outshines them in my book. Everyone has different taste buds. Both my DH and myself think the food is better than Princess. Service has been excellent so far. No complaints. No sign of poor quality linens etc. We were on the Westerdam 20 years ago and she still looks good.

I used the online qualifier and was "verified" on 4/11. Have been checking daily for it to appear as Future OBC. Nothing yet. We sail on the Westerdam next month. I am going to call HAL and inquire about it. We are Platinum which I am going to mention and see if I can't get it applied to our upcoming cruise. If they say "no" at least I tried. Anyone know how long this Educator OBC has been going on? Wish I had known about it sooner.

Same experience on Princess recently. On the Westerdam in May and hopeful food is better.

mibright thank you for your comments. We will be on the Ruby March 18 and prefer not having our meals in the MDR. Hoping that self serve will NOT be available. We bought microban for covid so will pack it. Very disconcerting to hear about the sick staff member who returned so quickly. We are platinum and have always dodged noro and want to keep it that way.

We'll be on March 19 so interested as well.

Yes, laundry will be done on the boat. On past Uniworld cruises many people did not change from their day time outfits. Kind of surprised me but I liked that.

I am trying to use only carry ons for an upcoming river cruise (Uniworld) and know many packing "tricks". Looking for opinions/thoughts on the amount of clothing that is really needed for a 10 day cruise. When I think back on other river cruises I certainly don't remember paying attention to what people wear or if they wear the same thing more than once. We'll be traveling independently 5 days after the cruise and am trying not to take the big checked bags that we normally take. Thanks in advance for your thoughts ladies.

We did this trip last October and would highly recommend. We did do the pre tour of Milan which I would do again. We like to travel independently as well so did our own planning from Venice to Lake Como and then onto Switzerland (St Moritz) for a few days and back to Milan to fly home.

Uniworld. Interested in Nile also so spoke with a number of people on our last Uniworld cruise who had only good things to say about their experience in Egypt.
