We received much of the same dining experience in PG. We had Turbot instead of Dover Sole and ordered an off-menu Indian banquet that was superb. We also had table-side carving and flambé almost every night in PG. There may be some other higher-end dining perks in QG but I see the QG premium going towards bigger suites and a stand-alone shower.

    John

We too enjoyed the PG on the previous sailing and couldn't ask for anything more.

Multiple Flambe's each night all around the dining room but did not delay our dessert or entree prep for our dining.

DW would accept an upgrade to QG if offered but I would remain in PG if so be it. So we'll see but even now I have true memories of 13 days in PG and the Wonderful Staff. We rarely ate in the GL, KC or Carint....ever. Looking forward to the good news if comes to UG next sailing. We are also due for it.

Do not mix loyality to Cunard with anything else IMHO.

Senior officer parties with likewise experienced Cunard passengers are different than they would be with passengers who were loyal to Carnival or any other brand.

Also, it is about loyality not money spend. To like Cunard and to show so by coming back time after time is loyalty, inside cabin or Q1.

    BRAVO !

Hello.  I will be visiting St. Thomas on a cruise in a few months.  I am looking for a specific ring.  However, I want to AVOID the major chain jewelry stores, especially the ones that practically pull you off the street and hound you to go into their stores.  Are there any small, non-pushy jewelry stores near Havensight and Crown Bay?  Maybe not right at the port, but a short ride / walk from there.  Thank you 🙂

You named all the sights except for the main strip in St. Tom's where all the shops are located.

Good Hunting... We know all the major locations also u talk about.

    This sounds interesting

So sad people don't think these areas are interesting with everyplace else and activities to do.

But that is where they put them. A lot of these items (plaques) on the QE2 use to be on the walls of the Bridge....

  5. The Portrait Gallery behind the Illuminations Theater on Deck 3 of all  the Famous that sailed on board Cunard.

I never hear passengers talk about the walk around. Also on Deck 2 behind the Illuminations lower level past Connextions, All the items and plaques presented to the QM2 from the different Ports of Call. Past the Computer Room.

I, too, watch the videos for the power points, especially what's at bedside (or not). Sadly, a 5W USB is a disappointment. I've yet to see a cabin with a souped-up USB port.

I'm not interested in shows at all, no thanks. Very interested in the food reviews.

Fortunately we have a electric adaptor with additional outlets and USB ports available we use on board in the cabin till ship added them to the cabin.

  7. We remember the days as far back to 1975 and one, a survey form was left in the cabin for all to fill out.

It was given one or two days before the end of the sailing and returned before leaving the ship..

We never got one from Cunard directly after a sailing.

  8. As we did on our sailing and many more also did, we did not start the purchase till the morning of the next day after sailing to save a day of cost.

Embarkation Day all are too busy to read emails or messages and you save on one day of the purchase.

since we're only at the Silver level and are unlikely to be asked to dinner with the senior officers anytime soon.)

But when you reach that level and attend one of these dinners which we had been invited to in the past, it is very interesting the other passengers you meet. We happen to experience the dinner on the QE2 and dined with at that time Sailing on board, the CEO of then Cunard. She was very lovely and also had the Captain at that table. The elegant experience was a choice of wines accompanied each course of the dinner. Yes, we hit the Jackpot!

We also attended on the QE2 but is not done on the QM2 attended the Senior Officers Cocktail in the Officers Ward Room. On the QM2 it was done in the G32 Disco Bar.

Hope you one day get that Personalized Invitation knock on the Cabin/Suite Door.

I've read here on CC that US dollars are generally not accepted in Canada and that I should use my credit card.  I'm taking some ship excursions and I usually tip the excursion guides.  Is it ok to tip them in US dollars, or is that frowned upon?

    We use US currency

Currently on a 14 night Southampton NY return as it was booked under one booking number as a 14 night I have only received one lot of loyalty WiFi and only one bottle of PA

Thank you.. I was trying to understand Morgans each segments when our same time period was one complete voyage. Did things change?  Have a Good Evening...

  12. We are taking the March 16th 2025 13 Day Caribbean Sailing (2) 3 days at Sea at the beginning and end with visiting 6 islands like we use to do on the QE2 and the earlier years of the QM2 from NYC.

Will bring back those sailings we always looked forward to in the Spring time of the year.

Haven't been to those islands in a long, long time.
