  1. Few if any. I have ridden the Canadian several times which uses CN tracks, while generally Rocky Mountaineer uses CP. I think recently they may be using CN for a few trips but not usually. Roy
  2. Thank you for giving us access. Roy
  3. Today's sunrise is from a 2015 Crystal Serenity transatlantic. May 9 was a sea day from Bermuda to Porta Delgada: Roy

  5. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Ann, Debbie, and Dixie. I’ll celebrate Europe and Home Front Heroes but pass on the Moscato. I like the quote. A great day in WW2 history. I have not been to Flam. I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is Sweedish Pork Medallions with Apple Mushroom Compote and Lemon Tart with Blueberry Ice Cream, my Mariner Brunch on Nieuw Statendam April 22, 2019:. Back to cool today, with possible storms tonight.. Roy
  6. I'm pretty sure Westerdam is almost an exact twin to Zuiderdam. Nieuw Amsterdam and Eurodam have the same footprint but an extra deck or two. Roy
  7. Today's sunrise is from a 2019 series of cruises. On May 8 I was in Kiel, Germany after disembarking Nieuw Statendam in Amsterdam and before boarding Queen Victoria to start my journey home: Roy

  9. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Ann, Debbie, and Dixie. Three great days to celebrate and may we get more research on Thalassemia. I like the quote. A great day in WW2 history. I visited Da Nang in 2012 on the Zaandam. My pictures would be much like Quartzsite Cruisers from the Citatel. I’ll pass on the meal. My alternative is Fruit Salad with Yogurt and Honey, Orange and Radiccio Salad and Beechers Macaroni and Cheese which would have been my choices April 22, 2014 if I had not dined in Canaletto. Summer heat will be back today. Aliaschief’s video brings back memories of several great safaries, mostly with Rovos Rail but also a simple one while I was in Cape Town in 2014 between disembarking Crystal Serenity and boarding MS Amsterdam. Roy
  10. They just announced that the final body was recovered. Roy
  11. Thanks Leanne, Dave, and fellow addicts. Roy
  12. Kushiro was the first Japanese (and actual first after Dutch Harbor was cancelled) on Amsterdam's 2017 Grand Asia. It is on Hokkaido, a small island in Northern Japan. When I was there is was kind of a foggy day. The port is at the mouth of a small river with an interesting bridge: I did find one tall building, possibly the library, with a nice overview of the city: As usual there was a farewell greeting as we set sail: Roy
  13. Today's sunrise is from my 2017 Crystal Symphony Panama Canal cruise from San Diego to New York. On May 7 we visited San Juan del Sur. Roy

  15. Thank you Rich, Jacqui, Vanessa, Debbie, Ann, and Dixie. May we find better treatments for Cystinosis. I’ll pass on the other 2 days. I love the Lennon quote. I visited Kushiro on the 2017 Amsterdam Grand Asia cruise, This is a great day in electronics history. I’ll pass on the meal. I have never been on a BHB between May 6 and May 13. Today’s alternative menu selection is Melon Trio and Chicken Cordon Bleu which would have been my choices on MS Amsterdam April 16, 2014 if I had not dined in the Pinnacle Grill. Should be a quiet day in Central Maryland. Roy
  16. Just one photo from my 2015 cruise visiting Bar Harbor. This is my ship, Blount Small Ship Adventures' Grande Caribe: The strange looking bridge is so that it can be lowered to the deck below to pass under some very low bridges on New York's Erie Canal. Roy
  17. I'm not expecting them this year. We really got them in 2021, Roy
