  1. Sokcho Port International Cruise Terminal 550-5, Cheongho-dong, Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do, Republic of Korea
  2. I just received the following response from K-ETA: Dear Inquirer, Thank you for your interest in K-ETA. Regarding your inquiry about K-ETA requirement for cruise passengers, please find the answer as below: If you are visiting Korea via a cruise, please check with the forwarding agent or cruise company again whether you are required to apply for K-ETA or not first. It is because regardless of K-ETA temporary exemption applies to the eligible visa-free travelers which will be effective until Dec 31, 2024 (KST), if the captain of the cruise or the forwarding agent applies for landing permission for tourism and obtains the approval, the cruise passengers do not need to apply for K-ETA. In case you need to apply for K-ETA, if you are not going to get an accommodation to stay overnight, you can enter the address of the port in Sokcho where the cruise is going to stop at. If you do not have the address and phone number of the port, you need to check with the cruise company or travel agency. To search for the address to stay in Korea, you need to click the [ENG] button, enter the road name address with building number in the [Address search] pop-up window. In the second line (detailed address field), please enter the name of the cruise. If you have any difficulty with searching for the address of the port, please send us the name and address of the port so that we can assist you further. For detailed guidance on how to apply, please refer to [How to Apply for K-ETA and Make a Payment] added to the Notice board of the official K-ETA website (www.k-eta.go.kr). If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.
  3. Just a 1-day port call, so I'm not sure what to enter for location address.
  4. My wife and I are on an HAL cruise in April 2025, which has a port call in South Korea. My understanding is that starting January 1, 2025, passengers with a port call in South Korea will be required to have applied and approved for an e-VISA via the K-ETA (South Korean Electronic Travel Authorization). While not required yet, I thought that I would get a jump on applying for an e-VISA, so I logged into the K-ETA website. One of the required entries is to list the address of the location where you will be staying. I tried to simply enter the name of cruise ship, but it was not accepted by the website. Upon reading further, it appeared to infer that I could simply type "NONE" if you didn't have specific address details; however, again website would not accept this entry. Has anyone tried to apply and had a similar problem? If successful, what did you do differently? Thank you in advance for your input.
  5. My guess is that the Pinnacle class is as small as HAL will go in the future. Hopefully nothing larger.
  6. Sorry, I should have been clearer on the source of credit, which was a cruise credit that our kids purchased for us prior to cruise.
  7. If you purchase a bottle (s) of wine on a Celebrity excursion during the cruise, will the bottle(s) be confiscated upon boarding until last night of the cruise?
  8. Plan to take a carry on for cruise, since we will be touring Italy post cruise on a train. Do I need to take up suitcase space to pack a suit jacket or are dress pants/shirt (with or without a tie) appropriate for Evening Chic nights?
  9. At the end of our Seabourn cruise last Summer, we had extra credit so I purchased a Future Cruise Deposit certificate for both my wife and myself. In reading details on the certificate, I see that Seabourn will take 5% off cruise fare in addition to applying our cruise deposit. However, does Seabourn match your future cruise deposit similar to other airlines?
  10. Apparently, after December 31, 2024, will require an American citizen traveling to South Korea will need to apply online, in advance of cruise, for a tourist visa using the Korean Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA). Doesn't appear to be any tourist visa requirements for US citizens visiting Japan with a valid passport. Does this sound correct?
  11. If possible, I would like to ask another additional Latitudes question, since I have not sailed on NCL for a number of years but am returning to give NCL another try. We were previously Platinum Plus members, which I now see on my account as Saphire. We are visiting Great Stirrup Cay on our cruise and was wondering, as Saphire members, do we need to get a tender pass for Cay or just proceed to ender? Thank you in advance
  12. Looking for suggestions on one or more days excursions from Toyko prior to our cruise from Yokohama in April 2025. Thank you for any feedback that you can provide.
  13. We are on the Ascent in September 24, and our TA already assigned us early dining. However, it is unclear whether we have been assigned to a specific dining room. Will we be assigned a specific dining room prior to cruise or upon boarding, or can we choose which restaurant we want to go to within late dining time frame?
  14. Can onboard credit be used to purchase excursions and specialty dining reservations prior to the cruise or just used once onboard ship for the cruise?
  15. NCL Jade will also use older Panama locks.
  16. How crowded do the laundry rooms get? What is the best time(s) to try and access laundry machines?
  17. I have a guaranteed mini-suite on an upcoming cruise. I received an email from Princess 60 days prior to cruise embarkation that I could bid for an upgrade. Prior to this (at 80, 75 and 70 day marks), I just received a response to check pack closer to cruise.
  18. I'm sure that this question is answered somewhere in past posts, so if you can point me to the appropriate post(s) that would be appreciated. If not, and clarification would be appreciated. Thank you in advance. Q: We book a cruise under the former Plus Package almost 2 years ago when it was first offered. Can someone please clarify the differences between the old and new Plus Packages and what we are still entitled to under the old Plus Package.
  19. As long as I don't have to make lunch, I'm good!
  20. We will be sailing on the Coral Princess out of Brisbane in early march and would be interested in any recent reviews from Coral Princess passengers. We've only sailed 2 times previously on Princess, with the Ruby Princess (pre-COVID) and Majestic Princess (post-COVID), both out of Sydney. The cruise on the Ruby Princess was fantastic, but the cruise on the Majestic Princess (early 2023) was very disappointing. We has gravitated since towards larger HAL ships, but we decided to give Princess another try. We always look positively going on a cruise, since all cruise lines have their positives and negatives, so are fingers are crossed. Thank you in advance for your feedback.
  21. We are book on the Accent in September 2024, and I was looking for first impressions of people who have sailed on vessel. We have only sailed on Celebrity once back in 2002 on the Infinity. We truly enjoyed the Infinity, but I'm sure Accent is a much larger vessel and Celebrity cruises have evolved significantly since 2002.
  22. Can you sign up for Chef's Table in advance using app or do you have to wait until you board the ship?
  23. I don't see this post-cruise excursion on-line for our cruise. Did you book your excursion prior to cruise or while on cruise?
  24. Our cruise on the Coral Princess disembarks in Brisbane on March 29, 2024. However, our flight back to the United States does not depart until 10 pm that evening. As such, we are looking for any suggestions on what to do during the day until our flight departs. Any ideas on any day group or private excursion companies from cruise terminal and returning to Brisbane Airport, or other options? Thank you in advance for your insights.
