Know NCL has that Pride of America ship based there in Honolulu. Does anyone know if its being used to transport supplies or for housing on Maui?
  3. Know NCL has that Pride of America ship based in Honolulu. Does anyone know if its headed to Maui to help out?
  4. by convenient meant within walking distance?
  5. No not from airport. We'll be staying at a family members house the night before departure but they will be out of town. House is in the Mt Davidson area of San Francisco. Will not have a car the night there.
  6. Hello All. Sailing on the Royal Princess on a 15 day itinerary departing San Fran 3/27/23. Apologize if this has been asked before I found nothing recent. Is there any grocery or liquor store convenient to Pier 27 to pick up wine or soda the morning of departure? Will be coming to port area via Uber. Thank You
  7. Just booked the Moore Hotel downtown Seattle today for 1 night stay Sept 14th prior to taking the train to Vancouver on the 15th for our Princess alaska cruise. Previous stay in Seattle in Pioneer Square area hotel this time over $300 for the 1 night so went looking. Found this Moore hotel for $200 instead for the 1 night. This Moore hotel although it says its old got 8 out of 10 stars on Tripadvisor so for just a 1 night stay will keep my fingers crossed.
  8. Signed up for a private not thru Princess whale watching tour with Trilogy Whale Watching.
  9. Quite some time from now but have an 10 day Alaska cruise roundtrip from Vancouver next Sept. Were retired so plan on driving to Seattle and taking the Amtrak up to Vancouver. We took this train once before and enjoyed the scenery. Does anyone have any suggestions where to park our car near the what I remember to be the King St Amtrak station in Seattle for 10-11 days. Thank You for any responses.,
  10. Agree that shuttle bus back to the cruise terminal wasted a lot of time. Your winding down to our rainy debarkation day in Baltimore.
  11. One of our dining room tablemates I think took a Halifax tour that lasted 10+ hours w no meal included was this the same one you were on? She said it was exhausting. We did the Halifax tour along with Peggy's Cove that was really crowded 10-15 buses out there.
  12. So enjoying your review and pictures. Do you have more Carnival cruises booked in 2023 you'll be reviewing including pictures? The wife and I are sailing Princess in 2023 March 2023 to Hawaii and Sept 2023 to Alaska. Been trying to find a S Carib itinerary in 2024 on Carnival that includes Aruba. Curacao, or Bonaire but think it's to early for 2024 still.
  13. Yes the day in Portland Me was miserable. We did the Lighthouse of Maine tour and think was rainy and cold the entire tour. Worse yet the meeting point for the excursions was just a covered carport structure outside. Fortunately as you should be getting to our 2 Canadian stops next the weather there turned nice.
  14. Hi. We took one of the duck vehicle tours in Boston. Didn't you have a lot of rain at Quincy Market. When our duck tour got there at the end of our tour to drop people off we thought it was raining to much to walk around so we just rode the duck vehicle back to the ship.
  15. Hi. Sailed on the same 2nd leg of your cruise the Canada/NE leg. E joying your review and pictures will be anxiously awaiting your thoughts about that Canada/NE portion of your B2B. We had table 240 downstairs in the Truffles dining room where I found most of the food quite good. But the prime rib was very fatty. We were in cabin 5134 just a few doors down from you we also had Kris as our room steward thought he did a great job. Wasn't happy with Gabe the cruise director. If he previously was on the Mardi Gras as part of the fun squad think that's where he should have stayed. Didn't find him at all ready to be a cruise director. Thanks for your review.
  16. Yes we also went to the lighthouse at Ft Williams. Think it was called Portland Head Lighthouse. Forgot about the port a potties where we got on and off the bus they were not maintained. Also the wife and I happened to walk by the so called gift shop there when a volunteer came out and padlocked the door. Although they were asking for donations she specifically said to us the gift shop was never open to the public. We decided not to donate after hearing that comment. Prior to that excursion took the Carnival sponsored Boston by Duck 2 hour tour in Boston. The guide took himself to be a comedian so not once did he offer to answer questions.
  17. Hello All: Just disembarked the Carnival Legend yesterday 9/11/22 after our 8 day Canada/NE sailing. Didn't take pictures to share so will just be interested in anyone elses comments about this sailing. First my good comments. I received a complimentary upgrade to balcony cabin 5134 prior to sailing so that was great. Our room steward Kris was also very hard working and always stopped by asking if we needed ice or anything else for our room. Lastly my wife and I were seated at a table of 7 downstairs in the Truffles dining room which we always appreciate to be able to meet new cruising friends and hear there experiences and stories. Now my biggest gripe or complaint. Our cruise director Gabe was he even really there. I rarely heard him making any announcements. When we were 2.5 hours late leaving St John what was the reason for such a delay? In Portland Me we booked a Carnival offered shore excursion to Lighthouses of Maine. Did the cruise director even mention there was no terminal building and no rest room facilities anywhere close by either and that we'd be waiting outside for our tour to start on a day of cold and rain. At the Q&A session the last sea day on the ship if the hotel director Paul had not been there Gabe the so called cruise director I don't recall him answering any questions. I certainly missed not having the large Movie Time screen on the Lido deck out by the pool. The one night that there was advertised to be a variety show in the theater there was one man singing Motown who the ships singers and dancers had done a night earlier during the cruise where was the variety in him singing. I certainly would NOT recomend the Carnival Legend. Think it's one of Carnivals older ships and should be limited to shorter 3 or 4 day itineraries. As I mentioned will be most interested to hear from others. Thank You.
  18. Hello All: Think I read on MSN today Carnival doing away with Covid testing pre cruising?, Haven't seen anything on John Heald's Facebook page so not sure if this is true or not or if I read it wrong. Sailing on the Carnival Legend 9/3/22 out of Baltimore. Thanks
  19. Found out today from John Healds facebook page Carnival does not offer transfer back to BWI Baltimore airport. Sailing on Carnival Legend disembarking 9/11/22. Since Carnival does not offer service suggestions for easiest transfer back to Baltimore airport most appreciated. Thank You.
  20. Was disappointed the Rymthm of the Nights shore excursion at Puerto Vallarta got cancelled. We did book a sailing excursion there plus a harbor, tour excursion at Mazatlan for the same price as the cancelled excursion.
  21. Just got off the same cruise. Though Joey for being a new cruise director did a really good job. Found the 4 production shows in the Liquid Lounge in the evening to be quite poor. The female lead singer just screeched. Had a cove balcony on deck 2 it was nice being so close to the water but although the weather was clear it was never really warm enough to sit out on the balcony much. The other big complaint I had was the lack of late night food options. The Deli closed at 10pm and the buffet lines on Lido deck earlier then that. After 10pm it was the Pizzeria with a outlandish line or the soft serve ice cream machines and that was it. Debarktation being platinum guests went very smoothly just facial recognition and on our way home. Would certainly like to hear any others comments from this Panorama cruise.
