DCL sells only fragrance and mascara in one of their shops.
CCL and RCCL also sell cosmetics (foundation, lipstick, etc.) and I'm wondering if Princess does too?
Thanks.:)

You will not be disappointed! We have done one on the Ruby and the Crown and both were exceptional. If you are interested you will want to sign up right after boarding. Call the Dining Line and they will put you on the waiting list, then hope you are one of the lucky ones to be chosen. A truly delightful evening for us....and a heck of a meal!!
Can you tell me what the up charge is for the chef's table?

Sign up for the Chef's Table. If you are a foodie its a must.

I will definitely check into this one.

We will be cruising on the Emerald out of the port Houston this Thanksgiving. This will be our first time on Princess, since booking this cruise we have now found out about the Crab Shack and the pup lunch( big plus as we are foodies) are there any other foods not to miss? we will be doing the Italian place and the steak place. Anyone have any favorites in the MDR?

Fish and chips
Bangers and mash
Ploughman's lunch
Steak and kidney pie
Bread and butter pudding
(above is one of the two menus offered)
Thanks for the info..I did a google search on the items above and they all look awesome.

Offered a couple of times on sea days, it is a no-charge lunch with a menu based on what an English pub would serve for food. Beverages are with a cost.
Interesting...so is this like fish and chips? not really sure what kind of food would be served in an English pub. Any examples?

Princess has the BEST pizza. Try the pizza on the lido deck. Princess also does a pub lunch on a sea day. No other line does that.
What is the pub lunch?

Thank you for all the replies.
Well, that's good in a way I guess (decorations AFTER Thanksgiving.) Admittedly, I don't like to see Christmas decorations going up in early November, at malls and shopping centers.
I'm wearing a red semi-formal, so that will be Christmassy enough.:)

Oops, I meant 'there' not 'their."

This will be our first Thanksgiving cruise since 2009 (we sailed DCL.)
We had photos taken on formal night in front of their Christmas tree, and sent them as our Christmas photo. (It's the only time our family is dressed in formal wear, all at once.) :)
Does Princess have decorations then? Either way, we'll still have photos taken.
Thank you!

Having been on the Caribbean Princess 7 months ago and Carnival Breeze 3 months ago I say go with the Caribbean Princess. The ship is beautiful and our service was excellent on Carnival.
We are Diamond with Carnival, but our next 3 cruises already booked are on Royal Caribbean and Princess.
Do you like the food better on Carnival or Princess?
Our family is sailing Princess for the first time in October, and we really enjoy the MDRs on Carnival. (I've read wonderful things about the food on Princess too.)

Does everyone in the stateroom (21 and over) have to purchase it, or can my DH purchase it just for him?
-
Thank you for all of the replies. Chocolate milk is one of the many indulgences our family enjoys on a cruise. We hardly ever drink it at home, but there's something about enjoying on a cruise, LOL! (Crazy, I know.)

I believe all cabins have mini-fridges. We were on the Caribbean Princess last month and our obstructed oceanview room had a fridge in the cabinet unster the TV.
Great to know, thank you.

Our family will be sailing Princess for the first time in November.
We're bringing Dr Pepper onboard (I think that's permitted?)
However, we're staying in an interior, and an ocean-view. I read that refrigerators are only in mini-suites. If we meet and tip our room steward ahead of time, will he/she bring us extra ice (to cover our drinks?) We like to drink straight up, out of ice-cold cans. We're thinking of bringing a fold-up collapsible cooler to fill with ice (are there any ice machines?)
Thank you!:)

We're sailing Emerald Princess in November.

As a die-hard Beatles fan, a Liverpool tour is on my bucket list! I would SO love to do this cruise some day.

Thank you for all of the tips! I'll definitely prepay for it.:)
Is there a cosmetics shop onboard Emerald Princess?
in Princess Cruises
Posted
Thank you!
Whenever I need to buy new cosmetics I think..."can I make it last until the next cruise, so I can save on the tax?" We've a 20 year-old DD who loves to shop for it onboard too. I LOVE shopping in St. Thomas at the duty-free stores. We're doing a western itin this time though. :)
