Di the cruise is from the 14th June - 24th June .

Our flight departs at 7.00am ...so we will have to stay over night at Marco Polo airport .....any recommendations for a hotel ? thanks

Di, I guess you were flying from Manchester ...it looks like we will have to do 4 nights pre cruise and then stay have an overnight post cruise at Marco Polo . Can't get from Trieste to Marco Polo for a flight that departs at 13.00

Thanks everyone for all your posts ...because of logistics (Ryanair are the only airline that flies direct to Trieste) and other airlines have one or two stop-overs) we are going to have to rethink and fly into Marco Polo and back from Marco Polo. We haven't booked the cruise (hope the cabin we want is still available !!!) until we can sort out flights. Thanks for all your very kind replies

To fit in with flight schedules we will have to stay 4 nights pre cruise . If we can't make this 11.00 am flight then we will have to stay 4 days post cruise ...we don't have time for an extended holiday . It's the Pearl .

We can disembark from the ship at 6.30 ...our flight leaves at 13.00 .,,Trieste cruise port to Trieste airport I'm not sure but I guess the check in will be 11.00 .,,then passport control and bag security , Allowing for luggage collection and taxi transfer ..is this enough time ? thanks

Just noticed that the menus for the MDR and Epicurean Christmas Dinner on Azura are online.

So ....£100 ..that will eat into my OBC !

We are new to P&O ..on our cruise we have 2 Celebration Nights and 2 Formal Nights . Is there a difference ? thanks

Over the years we have enjoyed many Christmas/New Year cruise around the Canaries/ Madeira on the Spirit, Jade and Sun. This year there are NO Christmas/New Year cruise in Europe . Can't understand NCL pulling out of the Christmas/New Year cruise market when the cruises have always been full. The Canaries are warm this time of the year. Looking at 2024/2025 ...it's the same . Is NCL pushing us towards P&O or MSC ?

Thanks for your blog ...we are on the Azura over Christmas / New Year . The MDR menus look uninspiring ...is there tomato soup on every night ? Looks like a lot of pork, lamb , beef and chicken most nights...and a limited choice of puddings ... ice cream /cheese platter .

I think this refers to the Epic Christmas/ New Year 2023/2024 cruise that NCL cancelled. Those passengers who had booked this cruise received a letter in May 2023 stating that Epic sailings from December 1st 2023 through and including April 9th 2024 were cancelled. Deployed .

Interesting ...... a completely different point of view. Though not for me ..We have always chosen deck 10 midships on the Jewel class ships. This time we are looking at the Escape.

Yes, thanks .. we had a cabin below the pool deck on the Sun ..didn't think it would be a problem . Until we realised it was under the smoking area and up to 20 people congregated there after the bars had close . We heard every scrape , every movement of chairs every night. We usually choose deck 10 on the Jewel class ships ... what I should have posted was "between accommodation decks". Escape has large balconies on deck 9, family balconies on decks 14/15 and balconies on 8/9/10/11/12/13/14 and 15. Thanks for your replies, Bird Travels and Schmoopie 17.
