Thanks ever so much for the reassurance . The cabin we chose is near this "gap" and we didn't want to be near any machinery . We though it been near the stacks and pool on decks above it would have continued through . Mid ship cabins all sold out !!

I have trawled the usual internet sites and Cruise Critic but cannot find any photos of cabin 12238 on the Epic . Anyone out there who can post some photos ? thanks

Thanks, MeHeartCruising. It was a difficult decision ..after sailing on the Spirit (many times) and the Jade (loved the Jade) and last Christmas /New Year on the Sun. We were looking to book this Christmas/ New Year in the Canaries .The only NCL ship sailing Europe was the Epic . In the UK we have a food product called Marmite ... you either love it or hate it . It's going to be like the Epic. As I said ...better than being at home !!!

Just noticed on deck 11 near the forward elevators the studio lounge . I though deck 11 was a quieter passenger cabin deck . Will the proximity of the studio lounge be a less quiet position ? thanks

Past Epic cruisers ....is there any advantage of a balcony cabin on deck 12 ...over deck 11 . Other than it being one deck higher ? ...thanks .

Looking at the deck plans ...if we were to book a midships cabin would we have to walk to the front or aft for stairs ? ...seems crazy ??? Also on other NCL ships there has been a "promenade" deck where we could walk around the whole ship ...is this missing on the Epic ? Any favourite B6 cabins with the bed by the balcony ? decks 11 or 12 and are any of these cabins dark because of an "overhang" ? Thanks for any help .

Thanks , we are considering the Epic for Christmas/ New Year 2023/2024 and the Epic sails from Trieste and ends at Lisbon. Our flight times will give us 1 night in Venice and 3 in Trieste ...we will fly home on the 5th January 2024 ! Epic isn't a ship I would choose but it's the only one around the Canaries at Christmas. Enjoy your cruise ...hope you leave a review.

We did Lisbon - Lisbon Christmas/New Year 2022/2023. We were off the ship about 7.30 on the return to Lisbon. Interested in your plans for Trieste ...are you staying pre cruise ?

Thanks everyone for your comments. The alternative to booking the Infinity is The NCL Epic . If we booked the Infinity it would have to be a balcony cabin ...not aqua class or higher . We are platinum with NCL - this would be the first time with Celebrity . It's a dilemma going bigger with NCL plus drinks package and a choice of speciality restaurants (part of a package) ...or going smaller with the Infinity with one restaurant plus buffet.

We are considering the Infinity for Christmas/New Year 2023/24 - our first time with Celebrity . Just concerned about the negative reviews - mainly the age and condition of the ship and cabins. The Retreat is out of our price range ..even though the private restaurant/lounge/ sundeck looks amazing. Aqua Class with Blu - looks amazing too . Has any refurbishment gone into these high class staterooms and the other balcony staterooms been left without any upgrades ? We have been on NCL/RCL/P&O/ Holland America ships ..so are not newbies just new to Celebrity . Are these higher class restaurants open to guests in standard balcony cabins with an upcharge ? thanks

Thanks, spenecer .....we have enjoyed reading your Epic blog. Usually we have our NCL Christmas/ New Year cruise booked by now . Spirit/ Jade/Sun in previous years but are still undecided with the Epic. Mixed reviews online...going to have to make a decision soon !!
