    Thanks , we have never sailed Celebrity before ... looks as if the cruise lines use their less popular ships in Europe over the winter months . NCL , Marella, Celebrity . Never sailed MSC.

    Thanks ,cruisingisfun .....looks probable that we will have 2 days Venice/Mestre then train to Trieste . Fabulous looking hotel .

    There's a fabulous cafe just along from the Banco de Portugal towards the gardens going up the hill. You will have great views of the ship from the garden's upper levels.

    You have got to try the Black Scabbard Fish served in Banana !!!!!

    Know that restaurant very well ..... usually a Jazz combo playing outside .

    Lots of restaurants in the Old town ...just keep on walking past the cable car . Excellent coffee shop on the main promenade ...or near the Cathedral . Botanic Gardens and Blandey's Gardens well worth a visit . Cable car up to Monte .

    Thanks for all your kind replies. We were looking at Europe for Christmas/New Year 2023/2024 and there's not much choice that time of year . Alternative is the Caribbean ...though longer flights .

    Probably a bit late with this information ..... Have a look at the Black Scabbard Fish in the Municipal Fish Market ....then eat it fresh with banana in one of the many restaurants in the Old Town. Ride the cable car up to Monte .

    Now that you are heading towards Madeira .... how are your thoughts about the ship ? the lines for the comp. restaurants and the availability of shows . Dirt from the stacks. The ship is sailing under capacity ...would a full capacity ship cause more problems? thanks for your observations.

    Later this year we we will be on the Epic out of Venice/Trieste . We would like to have 2 nights in Venice train up to Trieste then 2 nights in Trieste. Anyone who has ben on these sailings we would appreciate your advice on hotels. We will not want to drag suitcases over bridges and will be flying into Marco Polo airport. Thanks

    Hi I have my confirmation and I cannot see LATDBLX on it - though when I booked through NCL they said I qualified for double latitude points . Where on the invoice is this shown ? ...thanks
