Hi, It seems that the elevators (front and aft) on the Epic are crowded and busy because of the number of passengers . There seems to be an escalator mid ships - which decks does it go from ? Thanks for any information.

Thanks for the info. - we are considering Christmas/New Year on the Epic .Guess it will be crowded. I will check out You Tube...where is your favourite less crowded/quiet/empty ? We have been on the Spirit/Jade/ Sun and haven't seen (or drank) your selection of drinks ...either the Epic has a greater selection or we had our eyes shut !!!

Thanks everyone for your postings ... especially Oakman 58. The cabin looks soooo small compared to other NCL ships - and the bed !! DH is 6 foot tall !!

How can you determine the position of the bed on balcony cabins ? Much prefer to have the bed closer to the balcony ..and the sofa/couch nearer the door . Deck 11 or 12 midships . thanks ,

Agree ! ..we normally have our Christmas/New Year NCL cruise booked by now . Epic is sailing Europe - but everything I read about the Epic is screaming out don't book it . Alternative is the Sun - we did the Sun last Christmas/New Year . Wish the Jade/Gem or Spirit were in the Canaries this Christmas/New Year .

When you say "everything was unavailable " was this for the Speciality Restaurants or the shows ? ...do you need to book for everything else ? I'm hoping they put on a show that's as good as Priscilla (pity they don't do it now as we have never seen it ) Disembarking ...did you encounter any problems . We have a 13.30 flight from Lisbon.

Whereas the bigger ships have more facilities we still like the smaller ones - the Sun is doing the Christmas/ New Year season in the Med...but we don't the Sun. The Jade and Spirit are elsewhere. so ...it's going to be the Epic .

Hi, we are considering the Epic for Christmas/New Year 2023/2024 ...deck 11 or 12 midships balcony or club balcony. We have always sailed on smaller ships ... Spirit/Jade / Sun ...now Platinum. We are OK with the "bathroom " arrangements . Any advice from those on CC who have been on the Epic...shows/ dining reservations (do we need these for the MDR ?) Any cabins to avoid ...and is it better to book a cabin with the bed closer to the balcony ? Thanks

Thanks everyone for your very helpful replies . The bathroom arrangements are ok (we have been married many years !!) . Are all the club balcony cabins on the "hump" ...and is it worth paying extra for a Club ? We are Platinum . I'll have a look on the deck plans ..we always prefer midships so probably deck 11 or 12 and we don't mind the stairs . Best wishes,

We have sailed on the Spirit and Jade - fabulous ships and the Sun (not nearly as good ) ...now looking at the Epic . Much bigger . Any advice on the best decks /balcony/ between passenger decks/midships to look at . Any favourite cabins ? On the Spirit and Jade we always chose deck 10 midships ...but made a mistake when we booked deck 10 midships on the Sun and it was the deck below the pool. thanks

We checked in at Lisbon ...were given our "key card" ...had lunch on board went to the cabin ...left our hand luggage and then went ashore. We had our passports with us ...and had no problems coming back on board ...showed our plastic "key card " .Hope that helps .

Thanks everyone for your information. It looks as if it will be the Epic as it's the only ship NCL are doing in Europe Christmas /New Year 2023/2024 ...and it will be a deck with cabins above and below ..midships.

Thanks, yes I have seen the layout in the cabins . With a bigger ship are there problems booking shows , getting off the ship and waiting for restaurant tables ? ..thanks

Considering the Epic for Christmas / New Year in Europe...2023/2024 I realise that the Epic is different in that you have to book shows and it has a much different layout . Any advice on position of a balcony cabin/club balcony cabin ? thanks

The Good to Know page is the same every day ....obviously different on different ships . Bar Services, Guest Services, Shore Excursions etc .

Hi , anyone kept their dailies from a Sun cruise ...or anyone on the Sun who can post the Good to Know page ... The front page changes daily as does the what's on . The Good to Know page is constant. thanks,
