I have just come back off the P&O Iona (January) and had a super time on her. And in November we have done the MSC Virtosa and again a fantastic time. You don't really see the 5000 people as the ships are so well laid out. Up until TUI/Marella started charging stupid prices, we were sailing with them 3 or 4 times a year. We have 2 weeks coming up on the Marella Voyager on her Maiden voyage. If I booked that same cruise now it would have been £1000 dearer. We do have another one booked for later in the year on P&O Arcadia to the Arctic circle at a very good price. as for drinks. My wife hardly drinks, so the drinks package doesn't work out for us..

On my 50th Cruise (not all with Marella) I did manage to win this (Draw). Was it luck I won or did TUI pick me per chance.. Like to think I was lucky 🤣 Most cruise these went by Auctions for £200 plus.

Hi KP. Sorry to say that Marella doesn't have a loyalty program. I wish they did, as I have over 40+ cruises with said company.

Updates for Marella cruises have been updated today. From May, no Vaccines needed from May for Europe Cruises, still needed for the USA though.

I'm getting to like the BIGGER ships, now have Done MSC Virtuosa and P&O Iona, and because 5k passengers never felt cramped at all. The space has been well planned out and always got a seat and never had to wait for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner or a seat in any of the Bars and all the shows were well planned out.. Yes, I do like Marella, but they are pricing themselves out of the Market at the moment. My money will only go so far, and I don't like being ripped off. If you shop about, there are bargains to be had. -
Marella update on covid status
Rebel Rouser replied to Rebel Rouser's topic in Marella Cruises (formerly Thomson)
Harsh it maybe. But when a post then advises that a Booster is no longer needed, and OP post that they were still checking for Boosters. Sends out a mixed message of? Do we or don't we need a booster. I was only trying to help everyone and not to give out mixed messages. 😇 -

Latest figures for Tui/Marella 👍
Rebel Rouser replied to 2BACRUISER's topic in Marella Cruises (formerly Thomson)
I would say yes, as the ships were bigger and their food outlets and choice plus a lot more quiet areas where you don't have Music or Game shows blaring away all the time. And also no fly was a lot better with only 4 hr drive and 30 mins on boarding the ship. If we were flying it would have been 2 hrs driving plus 2 or 3 hrs in the airport plus another 2 or 3 hrs flight then another 1 hr for border force and luggage plus another 2 hrs getting on the ship so with the flight option would probably have been between 8 and 10 hrs (subjective) from leaving home to getting on the ship. I now prefer the no Flying option now, plus it's a lot cheaper IMO. -
Latest figures for Tui/Marella 👍

I have tried 2 different cruise lines since November 2022. MSC and P&O at much cheaper rates. This is for March 3rd this year..the price is for both of us. My wife doesn't drink so a waste of time putting a drink's package on it. But if we did, it would be far far less than Marella could do for 7 days. -
