Trying really hard to find a photo that will stump people for at least a few hours! Having a go with this photo. Like most people, my photos are of the recognisable tourist spots.
We've done a transit through the old locks and marvelled at how tight it is. Would we get anything similar going through the new locks? I'm looking at a partial transit on the Ruby Princess and it states the ship will be using the new ones. As our daughter will be joining us I really would have liked her to experience the old locks.
That's right but I'm pretty certain that there was a board hanging on the wall which listed the pizzas and available toppings, plus a list of the different types of pastas and sauces. Maybe it's something very new which is why there are no photos?
Well done North West Newbie you are indeed correct. It's quite a while since we were there but I seem to remember that very close to this ship was a wine and cheese shop which did tastings. Proved very popular !!
We will be on the Queen Victoria in December. Is there any where other than the Lido where I can get free coffee during the day? Just thinking that if I'm in the theatre and want a drink between talks it's a bit of a trek up to deck 9.
We've just come off a cruise to northern Norway which sailed into the Arctic Circle and were extremely fortunate to see the Lights twice. They truly are a magnificent sight but it did make me wonder whether we could hopefully catch sight of the southern ones. Looks like there is little to no chance?
Would love to see some photos though.
You are correct. We were the first tender off the Queen Elizabeth when the heavens opened and tendering was halted for a while. Spent some of the time sipping a very pleasant Corona beer (in the days before anyone had ever heard of the other meaning of Corona!!!) as the weather improved. Unfortunately not enough time to do anything but wander around the port area.
