  2. If you are looking for a larger balcony....check out Dolphin Deck 9 Aft: D701-D725 or Forward D145-D227 or some of the mid-ship bump-out cabins.
  3. If price is your priority, it will be fine. If you are flying Business class and expect the Delta experience....nope. It's much more like Domestic First Class...if that. We had a return flight last summer on Icelandair Business class from LHR. The oddest thing to me was that the flight atttendents served the meal and then hid behind the curtain in the galley for the rest of the flight. It was unpleasant because you had to open the curtain and go back there to use the restroom. Never quite sure if we were 'allowed' with the curtains closed. Not really sure what the deal was, but seemed like the policy as it happened both from LHR to Iceland and from Iceland to MSP. Very weird.
  4. Within the next day or 2 they will put a notice in your room of the time and meeting place for disembarkation. Last fall, we were to meet in one of the dining rooms for an 8:45 disembark time. We left our cabin at 8:30 (as required) and went to the meeting place. They told us we could leave as they had already started disembarking our group! This was on the Ruby in San Francisco.
  5. You will still be picking up your luggage and bringing it to the bus, so just do that together.
  6. Well maybe.... On one past cruise, the credit card was mine. I had set up the reservation and put myself first, DH second. In the app, HE could see BOTH of our folios. I could only see mine....
  7. It is important to pay attention to the cost of the Princess coverage. It is SUPPOSED to automatically give you the Platinum coverage for the Standard price if you are Ruby or higher status. However, for ONE of my past few cruise bookings, the automation worked for me, but not for DH. We have been on identical cruises, have identical status and it worked for all the others. For some reason, that one cruise, it gave us both Platinum coverage, but charged him the Platinum price and charged me the Standard price. I had to call Princess to get it fixed. So, always carefully review the costs you are being charged.
  8. How far out is the cruise? We were 63 days out. I called Princess and canceled and got all but the deposit and the cost of the insurance back without filing a claim. Our deposit was only $1 each, so figured I was 'good'. Good health to you. Here is the cancellation policy: https://www.princess.com/plan/standard-cancellation-refund-policy/ If you need to file a claim: Need to file a claim? www.aontravelclaim.com https://www.princess.com/plan/princess-vacation-protection/
  9. Those desserts pictured are pathetic..... so sad.... c'mon Princess! ☹️
  10. I had to call Princess in the middle of the day last week for an issue. I was on hold for only 10 minutes....seemed a reasonable amount of time to me. My issue was quickly resolved. Hopefully, they have finally gotten improvement on some of their past customer service issues!
  11. Only a small number of them. If you look at the deck plans and put in the number of people, you only find a small number of balcony cabins that allow 4 people.
  12. The video also states "Room for 4 in all stateroom types".... ummmm.....yeah they have a FEW.....and maybe the new Sun Princess will have that, but the existing fleet has a pathetic selection of rooms for 4. I just booked a family trip and had to book mini-suites because there were so few rooms that accomodated 4. Not a last minute thing either....it's in 2024!!! 🤷‍♀️
  13. Yep...remember the 'good old days' when it was 'just' Noro....? 🤢
  14. Since you started this nice list, you can also add Ocean Terrace Sushi Bar on deck 7. They have beverages and have a few free appetizers you can get with a beverage 'purchase'. Pre-pandemic, the 'purchase' could be via the drink package, so hopefully that is still true.... We went there on the Sky in 2020 and just had (free) Edamame and Sake. You don't have to order food. Pre-pandemic menu:
  15. Just to add to the "food" for thought.... Our last 2 cruises, we looked at the menu on the app in our room, but there were minor changes when we got downstairs to the dining room.....so it isn't gospel even once it's on the app.....
  16. Yep. They are included. Also, if you want to add a shot of a little sumpin', that is included also... 😉
  17. ...and even less that sleep 4....those are REALLY hard to find. It seems they are mostly Inside or Mini-Suites. If Princess is trying to attract younger families or multi-generational groups, they really need to work on that....
  18. Since there is also a lack of draft beer onboard, not too sure beer drinkers are very happy either..... One would think a "Gastropub" would have some good draft beers.....haven't been on a ship with one yet....maybe it does? (But I doubt it...) Even if the Enchanted had Vines, right now the ships I have been on with Vines have no more good wine available in Vines than in the MDR....at least for white wine...pathetic...
  19. So...do you only see this when you are on the ship? I don't see anything titled like that off the ship. I do see "Travel Companions" and I am having a heck of a time adding our travel companions to it even though I have their booking number.....
  20. I was thinking Carnival would be cheaper also. However, just today I booked us on a Princess Caribbean family cruise for 2024. We were on Carnival earlier this year. Carnival was cheaper, but with the Plus fares, if you plan to book Beverage packages and WiFi, you really need to do some price comparisons. For the adults (with the Plus package), Princess is actually cheaper than adding the same benefits to Carnival. The one thing cheaper on Carnival is that the 3rd and 4th person are $259, while on Princess they are $499. This is not to mention the current Princess 'sale' including $100 per person excursion credit. I've also noticed Carnival deposits appear to be non-refundable? I don't know if that's always the case, but on Princess generally they are refundable. One thing that is more difficult on Princess is finding 4 person cabins--much easier on Carnival.
  21. Looking at booking 3 mini-suites for our group on the Sky Princess. Do the balcony dividers open between them like on the Grand class ships? I am looking at the Lido deck. (I know the size of the balconies is pathetic, but we wanted to be able to open them for easier access between cabins.) Thanks.
