  1. Bill - a tankini is a bikini, but the top actually goes down to cover the belly. Essentially is is a one piece cut in half. I am too tall to wear a one piece, they are made too short in the torso. And with the weight I've lost my belly has turned into one of those wrinkle dogs lol, so I will wear my bikini sometimes but feel more comfortable in a tankini. Sheesh, guys have it so easy in selecting a swimsuit. Girls have 500 thousand to try from, they all look horrible and they cost an arm and a leg.

  2. You guys are doing so fantastic! Please add me to your group. I have been working at losing, but think I need to add in exercise. I weighed this morning again. I was on prednisone for 4 years for an autoimmune disease that is now in remission. I gained weight while on prednisone and it is very hard to get it off. Hoping I can make a dent in the 7 weeks we have left. Yes, I do take several sizes of clothes on cruises and wear the smaller ones first. I always have a problem with swelling, so that does not help. I am going to start walking a half hour in the beginning and will do swimnastics 3 times a week.

Prednisone is THE PITS!! I hate it, aside from weight gain, it's the mood swings, anxiety, confusion, I was horrible on that stuff. Plus it ate away at my bones, go for another bone density test this fall. I have an auto immune disease also, diagnosed about a year ago and have lost a ton of weight since. I am now struggling with my weight but more in a backwards way as I am borderline underweight and struggling to keep weight on. My issue is more of a toning problem as with the extreme weight loss I am left with excess skin and sag.

I think we all have our goals and are all working toward them and that's what really counts. I will not diet or count calories or exercise onboard though, not even a smidge. That goes completely against my vacation policy lol.

  3. Total loss for me to date is 7 pounds (but keep in mind I don't want to lose lol). I have been on a HUGE recipe kick, signed up for Pinterest and am addicted and am cooking up a storm. Buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwiches were to die for. I am trying to eat lots of proteins and salads and veggies. I do admit, my exercise has gone down the proverbial toilet. I haven't been on the stationary bike for weeks, but am still walking 2 km a day. Need to do floor work and tone up but just procrastinate and get lazy!

  4. Speaking of icing ... I made a new recipe ... sugar cookie bars and they have icing on them. They were dangerous all weekend but as much as I indulged, I cut very tiny pieces for me to try lol. I am up 2 pounds which is a good thing for me. Unfortunately I have not gotten into any kind of regular exercise regime which is what I need to tone tone tone. Must get cracking on that as the countdown to cruise continues and my flab stays flabby lol.

  5. I think, like everyone, having fewer carbs and starches and less alcohol is key to success. I, unlike some of you, am trying to maintain my weight and tone up. I have a chronic illness that leaves me underweight as my body doesn't properly absorb things. I lost a huge amount of weight very quickly and am left with a lot of saggy wrinkly patches that really bother me. That being said, I am trying to amp up daily rides on the stationary bike and also do crunches and some arm and leg work with weights. So my Monday morning report is a total of 6 pounds lost now, but was sick last week.
