@Lloyd555 Nice view for sure.
On a side note, I went to your Instagram account hoping to see some Icon images, but saw a lot of those fallen / leaping Timbits instead!
I'm never going to look at them the same way again! Or I will think of them when I look at the Pearl on Icon. 😄😄😄
Yup. I don't buy them. So the least that I can do is snap a photo of them #leapingtimbits as I refer to them when I go in to buy a coffee. 😜 🏀🏀🏀

A question about Meyer Werft's webcam (some of Star's blocks are in Hall 5 as shown in some earlier posts here) had me reminiscing and looking back at Quantum of the Seas's build thread. My introduction to Royal Caribbean cruise ship builds started with this ship here on Cruise Critic. I wanted to check out my first ever post.
Apparently it's this one...
Sigh. I was such a novice.
Thanks to all the others who contributed to the thread and showed me the ropes, as well as get me excited about cruise ship construction.
😁
AND NOW BACK TO OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED PROGRAM...

If you're thinkng that Star of the Seas could be bigger/longer than Icon of the Seas, apparently not.
Thanks to @Eremita85
for bringing article to my attention.
From this article:
CEO of TURUN TELKA Tim Meyer said at the keel-laying ceremony that the ship is as big as the first Icon ship, so they will share the title of the world's largest cruise ship.It is also based on the Icon 1 in its technical characteristics. I can't really say anything else about it, because the subscriber will inform about the differences and new features in his own schedule.- 2

Icon has turned around to face the other way in the port.
Any ideas as to why? 🤔

I still hoped for a much broader usage like scenes from ports etc. Like the Las Vegas sphere which can create some awesome images. But I like it as just a moving artwork as well. Great snag Lloyd.
I would have missed it, but thanks to @Eremita85 for bringing it to my attention!
