The Windjammer was ok and the staff, most of them, were really helpful. There is an omelet station but for some reason it takes forever; 10 minutes or more. I usually grabbed a Ham and Cheese omelet which they made right there and put out to grab. There was a station for some speciality foods but I didn't use it. I remember Fajitas one afternoon. Their bagels were horrible but there was always some fresh Lox (salmon) to help alleviate that issues LOL. I very much enjoyed the abundance of fresh fruits that was served for breakfast but your normal fare was there; bacon, sausages (both port and chicken), hash browns, some carved meats etc.

Exactly. In speaking to an officer about this, some late-nighters would order food and fall asleep and not answer the door. Like you said, order a Coke because they could. Many complained that what they ordered was not what they really wanted and to take it back. They just needed to curb the abuse!

I too would book it now as prices lately are skyrocketing. You can always switch them around, sometimes with a small fee lately. Just finished 2 TA's and have another booked for next April of 2023 from Miami to Rome. Good luck.

I'll be on the June 17th sailing and love this ship. It will be my 5th time sailing on Indy. Great size ship but not huge like some of the Oasis class of ships. The staff are really engaged I thought too. Have fun. Let me know if you've any questions.

Just don't pack away your passport, covid card, boarding pass and important papers in your luggage when you drop it off. On a recent cruise, a couple packed away their items and it was a nightmare getting them back. I saw them on the ship 2 days later and they said it took them over 3 hours to retrieve their suitcase and get the papers 😵. Enjoy your cruise.

On a recent Jewel OTS cruise, that Solarium pool closed at 8pm.

Me too 😲; just off a TA myself and a guy I met had a carry-on and a small backpack, that's it! From Amsterdam he was taking a train to Spain and staying there for a week before he took another 12 night cruise in Europe then flew back home. He utilized Diamond + laundry bag and did a fair amount of handwashing of his other clothes he said. Brave dude!

Which was where the steam rooms and saunas' used to be. All gone now and inside cabins in there now. A thermal spa would have been nice but........🤔

I've seen this happen and it's frustrating. I've gone onboard and ordered it with no problem and mentioned to the maitre'd that I couldn't do it online and he shakes his head not understanding why 🤔

I couldn't book the North Star or IFly until I boarded when I was on her but that was 10/2019

I had a b2b scheduled on Freedom in February and switched it over to Independence. Same class and basically the same itinerary but the steam rooms were there!

Just back from a TA finishing up in Amsterdam and used, for the first time, the eMed tests there to fly home to Orlando. It was very easy to do and relatively quick. Results sent to us within 10 minutes. You'll like them but just remember to download the Navicia app prior to avoid any delays.

Appreciate your perspective. I've got 2 cruises booked on the Explorer this summer and I'll keep your thoughts in mind.
