  1. Not having been on a Seabourn ship for a few years, those menus look wonderful - assuming the cooking and service is up to scratch. It would be hard to make a choice - need to be aboard for a few weeks to try everything out! Is it as good a it looks, kpcg?
  2. Good morning, everyone. I hope you were as lucky as me, getting 7 hours of sleep. It makes such a difference to your morning mood, doesn't it. All the nicer because it is not the norm. A bit misty here in the East Mids., but it is May and going to be reasonably warm later. Have a good day, if at all possible!
  3. Looking forward to your reports, and an excellent idea to put your itinerary on post no. 1. Always there for reference as we read your reports. Thanks.
  4. 'Such fun'. You really know how to live life in the fast lane.
  5. Wow, two cool dudes. Yes, it has been a lovely day here in bucolic Lincs.
  6. Are you still doing the annual trips to Singapore, Jeff? I used to enjoy seeing how it has changed since I was last there some 30 years ago. And the food stories of course. Lola
  7. Yes, lovely blossom pictures Mysty. I looked up your special dinner, and it sounds like a (delicious) version of schnitzel, Asian style.
  8. Me too, it is aggravating not to get a full report on this sort of topic, but my guess is they either decided they were actually enjoying things after the bad start, or feel a bit silly for posting their original moan, or most likely want to forget all about it and can't be bothered.
  9. Happy Birthday, Avril Just a youngster. Sorry to read about your bad start to the day, hopefully it will improve! Have yourself a treat of some kind - indeed, there could be one coming anyway.
  10. I hope the hangglider didn't land in the water. I have not had problems on here, but possibly because I am so old fashioned I am using a laptop, attached to an old fashioned keyboard, believe it or not. Therefore only able to see/do anything on here when at my desk. Which may be a good thing, certainly for my old brain.
  11. Everybody in Japan seems to be having bad luck with the weather at present. Hope it improves soon.
  12. A quick thanks for the explanation. You know how it is when you are looking out for the first signs of mind going doolally. (Looking forward to explanations of this British term.) Lola
  13. Looks like a few of us are confused. I didn't explain my thing very well. When I looked on the cooler, the last post showing said 19998, so I put one on which did not appear, so I did it again - t and they appeared, on my screen, with number 19976. I can now see that that was one I posted earlier. So maybe the numbers are all wrong anyway, and it does not matter at all! Which indeed is the case of course. Like your age, it is just a number.
  14. That is weird -when it came up the first time it said something like 19,976 . I truly wasn't trying to get the magic number. Maybe our moderator or someone else can explain.. I meant it to go to someone more worthy.
  15. Anyone noticed what number of posts we are now on here? I never normally bother to look of course, but something just made me do it. Best of luck if you are interested.
  16. Yes, seems to be a general problem. I am afraid it all goes back to the problem which started in 2020, which spoiled so much in everyone's life. No income coming in for quite a time, and now trying to make up for it, which is probably easier on the large ship cheaper prices lines.
  17. Oh dear. The writing may be on the wall, in view of HAL now being in charge of much if not all of what Seabourn does. Hope not.
  18. Not wishing to sound like a bit of a creep, but I think Avril is prettier than Joan Sims. Or certainly has what in my family is known as a 'nice face'.
  19. I now prefer Valencia to Barcelona, only the Gaudis missing. A very interesting and attractive city and less full of tourists. Thanks for the nice photos.
  20. Thanks, Graham. Better sleep, and sunshine (for now). And I wish a good day to everyone here too.
  21. I suspect with this kind of people if you suggested they were being rather selfish they would just say 'everybody could do it if they wanted to'. Other people just don't exist in their mindset.
  22. More understandable as it was her first (and no doubt last) cruise on Regent. Most of you know what to normally expect, the OP would I am sure be expecting the sort of cruise you are usually writing about on here and what the advertising suggests, and the very bad start would be more of a nasty surprise. But, yes, she was too hopping mad to describe it in detail at the time, and could have come back later.
  23. Yes, thanks Jane. I did know what it involves, as I took my husband for one some years ago, and went in with him. That is really the reason I hope to have it soon, as it shows up so much more than an ECG or any other simple tests. I am going to ring the surgery to see if he will refer me to this other hospital with a view to having it done sooner.
