  1. We know a couple that give their butler $100 when they get on board with the promise of more if the service is excellent. Of course they get good service....

    That really angers me...

  2. Love - the dressing up in the evenings, especially the formal nights, with everybody joining in.

Hate - one ship being sent to the med for so long each year putting it out of my reach.

Change - more round trip choice from Southampton.

(Camgirl how do I message you privately?)

    LOVE camgirls Change

HATE Waiting soooo long for my cruise

CHANGE make the afternoon quizzes longer...

  3. That all sounds good.

I will surprise my husband in 2 weeks with a mini cruise booking for November,Southampton and back,in a Princess Grill.Only our second Cunard trip but our first Princess Grill.Wanted to try one out on a mini cruise to see if it's worth the extra money. We were on Victoria before and loved her so I have rebooked her...

I am thinking I may may print all the info out and then make it into a puzzle for his birthday!

  4. Nobody is complaining or trying to stop the thread drift from "Couple thrown off ship" to possible problems with medication, all I have asked is that if that you & Salacia wish to have a conversation about a completely different subject again, you start a new thread.

My apologies if you feel this request is unreasonable but new subjects have a habit of getting lost at the bottom of long threads.

A good idea Hattie as the subject has been so helpful re medication that there will be others traveling with Cunard that will have missed all the advice as there is no indication in the threads headline about medication.

  5. If you are going to tranfer your pills every day from a weekly pill box on board, why don't you just put them in the little ziplocks (once) before you leave and leave the four plastic weekly pill boxes at home?

That is a great idea, but please be aware that some drugs need storing in a certain way.Too long out of their original packaging may not give them the protection they need.Alot of drugs should be stored out of bathrooms.containers and packaging protect the drugs from light and moisture.I would defiinately read every storage leaflet in the original packaging, especially when on a long cruise.

  6. Regent Seven Seas Cruises employees enjoy salary options much higher than what some other cruise lines offer. On top of base pay, some Regent associates receive employment benefits packages, which include 401(k) retirement plans, medical and dental coverage, life insurance options, disability coverage, and paid time off. Shipboard workers enjoy job perks, such as world travel, paid training, and an exciting work atmosphere.

As I read this I was surprised to see such a positive account of RSSC employment benefits,It is a heck of a lot better then my NHS nurse pay.We never get tipped and we often go above and beyond our duty..

When starting as a first year trained nurse,in a very poorly paid job,it is an incentive to strive to do my best to go up the job ladder and indeed earn a better salary. If I stayed where I was,got the included tips and the extra tips day in,day out, where would my pride and incentive be to improve myself?

I am more than happy about tipping crew with the tips included in the price I pay.But why tip extra to the crew member you see and not the crew member who covered two shifts in the laundry due to staff sickness and went above the call of duty?

Some people are just tip happy, want preferential service for it and probably get it..Maybe not doing the staff any favours...

  7. Our fish and chips lunch was very good but is, IMO, better in LV because you can pick your pieces of fish. The fries aren't truly English -- more like steak fries but they are fine

Our "fries" are called Chips here in The UK.

Our chips are thicker cut then fries.( French fries)

Thank you for the blog and photos.

We love shellfish, but the shellfish in Prime 7 was pre frozen ( and I know why) but it was served too cold ( watery)and therefore tasteless. We loved the steaks there but we felt the food, overall, was not good enough for us to return.

Is there a lack of vegetables served on your plates TC,or is that your choice?

  8. I am a bit disappointed to read The Grills Courtyard is not open in the evening. We are hoping to book a 'warm' cruise next year and eating outside in the evening is something we really enjoy.

We are trying the Grills experience in November, on a short cruise to see if it is worth the the extra cost.Obviously there will be no eating outside then!

  9. We recently were on Navigator and after 2 ( not so good ) evening meals in their main restaurant and Prime 7,we sat very evening outside Sette Mari.We got there early to guarantee a table. We were in the carribean and saw some beautiful moons..and sitting at the back of the ship,we'd had a peaceful time away from the crowds..We don't like sitting inside particularly, with cool air conditioning.

The waiting staff were very helpful and remembered the wines we liked best.

We also had breakfast there, outside each morning when not having room service.

Very much a highlight of our trip..

  10. . I will say I deal with a TA that is not a huge online agency, but is one of Regent's top sellers, and due to a south Florida location, has a personal relationship with many Regent officers. Maybe that makes it easier for her to get correct answers.

...and easier for you to get Prime 7 delivered to your suite? ;)

  11. Thank you.I have booked a PG for a short trip and have said I will accept an upgrade( first time I have ever done that as I am fussy about my cabin location normally),it is a P2, so just wondered what sort of upgrade I am likely to get?

  12. Could you tell me what are the differences in the 2 levels of Princess Grill cabins? Is it just location.?

    Thank you.

    Ooops...on Victoria....

  13. If not in an upper tier suite, don't worry about getting your minimal prestocked. Just tell your cabin steward what you want stocked and they'll switch out the items you don't want and then keep it that way throughout the cruise.

We were in penthouse but still had to order ( again) when we arrived. Also had drinks and nibbles removed the day before disembarkation!,
